I was proud to announce $40M federal investment to expand the emergency shelter at 1635 Dundas Street East — adding 57 new units of supportive and transitional housing with 104 new beds, recovery spaces, palliative care, a human trafficking recovery program, and an on-site medical clinic.

Today I announced over $49M in federal support for vulnerable people across Durham region. This funding strengthens interim housing solutions, supports Veterans experiencing or at-risk of homelessness, and expands mental health and addiction support through a rapid response team.
