This week I read Black Sails to Sunward by Sheila Jenné (@jennelikejennay.bsky.social); at first as an attempt to interact with other indie authors-- but I have to say even though it is sci-fi, the nautical roots are so deeply interwoven that it was practically doing research to read it!

The second novel in the series, The One That Got Away, is releasing on October 31st the same exact way that First Last Chance did: as an audiobook podcast with music, sound effects, and character voices. Just like the last one, I'm making illustrations for each chapter.

Some illustrations that came from First Last Chance. I made these to act as thumbnails for episodes of the podcast, so there's ones for every chapter but these are a few of my favorites.

Over the last few months I've serialized my first book, First Last Chance, as an audiobook podcast. I did a terrible job marketing it, so almost nobody heard it. I did however end up with a few fans and they seemed to really like it. I hope some people here on bluesky might give it a chance.
