LPTexas supports freedom of the press and the full protections of the First Amendment, including for those we regularly disagree with. We also believe in private property rights, including the right to remove trespassers. This situation is not about trespassing.

Despite claims of widespread attacks on ICE, investigations show little supporting evidence. Many arrests led to no charges or dismissals for insufficient proof, with judges criticizing weak cases. DHS’s rhetoric outpaces what prosecutors could actually prove.

Democrats are divided on ICE: activists call for abolition, while party leaders emphasize reform. Crockett signals change without clarity, Talarico calls to dismantle and replace ICE, and Frey rejects abolition outright. For voters who see ICE as beyond reform, only the LP backs abolishing it.

Blame for Alex Pretti’s killing split along party lines, with Republicans and the Trump administration initially defending the shooting and portraying him as dangerous despite video showing otherwise. As evidence emerged, officials softened rhetoric, shifted blame, and avoided accountability.

Minnesota’s gun ban at protests was overturned; no federal law bans it. The Second Amendment does. Kash Patel is lying again. Armed protests in 2020 spanned the left, right, libertarians, and independents. An armed public breaks the state’s monopoly on violence—that’s the point.

The acquittal of Uvalde officer Adrian Gonzales confirms police have no legal duty to protect children, even during shootings. SROs often criminalize students, commanders faced no accountability for delays or arresting parents, and law enforcement ultimately protects power, not people.

Kyle Rittenhouse and Alex Pretti both had the legal right to carry. If you believe one had that right and the other didn’t, you don’t believe in rights—you believe in permission for people you agree with.

A court struck down Texas’s new House map as a racial gerrymander, forcing a return to 2021 districts and costing Republicans the extra seats they drew. Meanwhile, Democrats in California passed their own gerrymandering amendment, using Texas’s attempt as political cover to move forward.

Every major increase in liberty in our country's history has been a result of the people showing civil disobedience against bad laws.

Most of the policy Democrats and Republicans sell are hardly practical, but are designed to make you feel good. This does not mean they are good. Libertarians advocate for practical policy.

Libertarians believe only you can truly decide how to live your life, and so long as it doesn't violate others ability to decide how to live their lives, then you are free to be yourself.

The greatest tribute we can give our veterans is a foreign policy that doesn’t create more of them. No more endless wars.
