Alice Egan Hagen did not touch a potter’s wheel until she was 60. Using Nova Scotian clay she was a pioneer of studio pottery in Nova Scotia, Hagen was also an acclaimed china painter, and a passionate teacher. She continued to make and sell pottery at her Mahone Bay studio into her 90s. #pottery

I am thrilled AF about the 2 w/the black but the 3rd one was rather disappointing. It’s not ugly or anything & will make a decent cup but the blue celadon went grey & the stuff that should have been more creamy/tan was just spotty. It was meant to be a Christmas gift so I’ll have to retry! #pottery
