Photos from Herculaneum. Not as famous as Pompeii, but here you really get more depth to the tragedy that happened in 79 AD. Skeletons found in the boat sheds, a carbonized boat and furniture, and even more paintings and mosaics.

Photos from Pompeii. I’ve wanted to visit this place since I first learned about it as a kid. Being able to spend hours wandering around this frozen in time ancient city with my camera was something I’ll never forget. The scale of this place is remarkable, and it’s so hauntingly beautiful.
