So excited, I've been waiting for this goregous art from vhsdogs since they announced their mail club last month! I genuinely can't wait to frame this gorgeous work!!! Genuinely probably some of the most favorite art I've gotten in years ~ 💕

I think one of my favorite aspects of fall is I get more of these wonderous foggy mornings with my cup of coffee, there's just something uniquely tranquil about relaxing to the sounds of the forest while the sun slowly rises.

I want to stop having misadventures with ordering books whether its new or second hand. I remember buying books and things going wrong was a once in a blue moon occurrence - now I'm sat here anxious to find out if anything will go right with my order or if it will actually be what I ordered...

24 hours later - we have our first full loaf in the presence of humans!! 💕

I love that advice in the art world is often contradictory - Make merch/don't, post on platforms/don't, make art for yourself/make art that your audience wants, do in-person events/don't, comment/don't comment a certain way, etc. Plus a million more hyper-specific ones.

Society loves to glamorize creative life - especially because artists can spend time creating or pursuing their dreams so they *MUST* have it easy; when reality is that's the furthest thing from the truth for most creatives, they can only attempt to because of the safety nets they have in place.

With the cold season starting to set in & how sensitive cats are to colder temps, I knew I needed to get a heating solution for Chai. Initially, I wanted to do a pet-safe heat mat, but power-wise I found out I don't have the grounding I need to make it safe. So I got a self-warming bed instead.

Friendly reminder because of the numerous data breaches this year ~ Change your passwords often, don’t repeat passwords or use simple ones, use a password manager, AND use 2fa (best if you use an authenticator app) This helps protect SO much info & avoids your stuff being hacked #internetsafety

Took nearly 3 months w/ numerous calls & runarounds, we finally have both dogs on insurance! We didn't get a notification/email that he was approved - just logged into the app & he had a profile. Thankfully since he was approved in Oct, we just have to wait till Nov 1st for his coverage to kick in

Nothing like becoming miserably sick due to stress, I have a bad migraine forming & I have such severe pain in my shoulders/neck. To make matters worse OTC pain meds don't even take the edge off. I just feel like I'm about to cry. Idk why this is my body's response to stress but it sucks 😭

Friendly reminder ~ There are times when you'll struggle to get things right in art, & it's not always based on your abilities or lack thereof. You may even feel like your art looks like shit... But sometimes your eyes & brain desperately need a break, don't be afraid to take time for yourself 💕

Pet insurance adventures: Was honest about my dog's pre-existing conditions & fully willing to take the bullet for them to get him on pet insurance. Found out, I should have lied - that apparently everyone lies, but because I didn't it has led to a 2-month ongoing battle just for approval... 1/2

Chai lately has been feeling comfortable enough that when I bring him food, he is willing to close the gap almost immediately (he still politely waits till I put the dish down) Often there's barely a foot or 2 between us, he's still apprehensive but it's so rewarding to have so much trust from him!

Ppl: god, ai is getting shoved into everything - it's pointless and I don't want it Companies: what? Sorry we don't hear "negative words", but here's the ai you asked for!! Ppl: no... I DON'T want this Companies: more ai, gotcha! *brought to you by "ai everything" being crammed down your throat!

I think one of the weirdest things I've experienced living here is the Walmart gas station rooster...

Chai update: We noticed he was using a fallen tree & other surrounding brush as sleeping places when he wasn't sleeping on the porch. So we put up a weather-proof dog house for him, the toy ended up being a marker for if he/anything else used it He did use it! Progress of him using is in alt text

Nothing like going to bed at midnight with no power during a storm and waking up at 9am to still having no power... We were supposed to get it back at the earliest by 8 but I guess we'll see where the day takes us...

Friendly reminder 💕 Sometimes people don't comment on art because their unsure if the sentiments they give will be received positively and they don't want to offend the artist even accidentally. This can sometimes result in avoidance or silent support (often in the form of likes) to avoid offense.

Trying to call the pup in so we can finish our morning routine and he can get his meds, meanwhile my brain is trying to say pills and meds at the same time... "come on bud! Let's go get your peds!"

One thing I was not prepared for when moving from a state above sea level to one below sea level is the fact that I would have to relearn how to pour liquids. The number of times I have spilled things all over my counters trying to simply pour something is incalculable at this point.

The pups are having another day where they wish I would spontaneously develop telepathy... Unfortunately, today is not that day, so we'll settle for a round of doggy charades consisting of endless staring at mom, pouting, & giving every command we know until she figures out exactly what we want...

This show is unbelievably amazing, it's not only one of the prettiest animations but it's an amazing adult animation! I binged it in 2 days and I already am craving a season 2!! One warning I would give is for those sensitive, it does cover a variety of death from accidents, to murder, & suicide.

Well, I feel sicker than a dog... it literally feels like someone is driving a pickaxe into my spine, the pain is radiating up my neck & through my shoulders. I also just feel beyond drained, exhausted, & overall yucky... Guess I won't be going anywhere/doing anything for the next several days 🫠

I genuinely can't get over these strawberries that I found during my grocery run today. They seem so unreal! Their 100% worth it, even my pickest pup who normally doesn't like strawberries, genuinely couldn't get enough! Both my pups were over the moon, so I can't wait to have some for myself 🥰
