Did not see that stoppage coming at all, especially since Parker was rolling with a lot of those punches. Very surprised by the referee's decision. I'm a big believer in fighter safety but, in my opinion, that was early. Congrats to Wardley for pushing the needle.

Wardley closed that round well but Parker had his moments in that round too. Did Wardley's closing stanza outweigh Parker's generally better work in that round? Not so sure.

Round 8, to me, was a combination of Parker taking the round off and Wardley maintaining his pace. Round 9 with more activity from Parker.

As the rounds continue, the obvious expectation is that Parker's experience will allow him to create separation from Wardley but Wardley's defending surprisingly well. Still, Parker has most likely won more rounds.

Allen caught Makhmudov with some nice punches.

A leopard doesn't change its spots and there's only so much to expect from Allen. His style is benefiting Makhmudov. I'm not giving Makhmudov the same amount of credit as the commentators are because Allen is there to be hit.

Makhmudov obviously been told to watch his energy because he's clinching whenever the opportunity arises. Not that Makhmudov isn't having success with his punches but if this goes 12 rounds, Allen still in this.
