I spent all of yesterday trying to fix a null instance bug for a TextureRect in Godot only to realize I added a script as the child node rather than the scene itself🙃

Learning Godot has been a blast. I added an inventory system and pickup items. Next up is dragging and dropping items in the inventory and equipping items. #gamedev #indiedev #indiegame

Blocks now take a second to mine rather than it being instant. I don't have an indicator yet for when a block is being mined though. Need to find a spritesheet that has a tile for different mining stages. Any recommendations? Preferably 16x16 #gamedev #indiedev

I need your thoughts on dodging. What do you prefer: 1. Longer dodge distance but it uses stamina (current design). 2. Shorter dodge distance but it doesn't use stamina. I'm leaning towards 2 since it'll make it more useful during combat. #gamedev #indiegame #indiedev
