Playing much calmer on ranked tonight and still can’t make any progress. I feel I’m regressing. Severely. I don’t know what to do.

I’m in south NJ… just walked outside for the first time all day (I work remote)… oh my God. The sky is GRAY. Everything is somewhat smog-cloaked. It smells like smoke with nothing burning. They are not kidding about these air quality warnings.

Forced to take some unplanned PTO today while the contractors (LOUDLY) fixed our back door and water-damaged floor. So... - I camped in another library for 5 hours (and pitched the librarian, of course) - I did more heavy-duty outline revisions - CB video is DONE AND RENDERING!!!

This New Jersey heat wave is so wildly triggering for my migraines. Normally once my uterus finishes its monthly tantrum, I start feeling better, but it’s been RELENTLESS. I am so glad my insurance finally approved a second migraine rescue med so I don’t over-take the first one.

If/when BETWEEN SUN AND SHADOW earns out (meaning my publisher makes back the $$$ from my advance and I start getting royalties)—and I do believe, in my heart of hearts, that it will—I’ve made up my mind that I’m getting a tattoo.

I was worried that removing most of the if-you-know terminology from the fighting games WIP would stop the story from feeling very FGC at all, but today I added a character who immediately responds to losing with “I DON’T EVEN PLAAAAAY THIS GAME” so I think it’s gonna be fine 😂

Literally me 24 hrs ago: Is my book even finding its audience? Today: Person w/ gayest haircut ever locks eyes on my book before even saying hello, asks what it’s about, and doesn’t let me get past “so it’s a sapphic Hades—” before slamming a hardcover down & yelling, “SIGN IT.”

I spoke to my agent about the fighting games WIP on Tuesday night. As of now, Saturday night, I have: - repolished/finalized the 8,000-word outline - reread a prologue and 4 chapters (total around 60K words) - fixed all of the gaming terminology gobbledygook
