I played solitaire 🃏 for the first time in awhile yesterday. This is a game in need of some more rules! It can just end in stalemate because of randomness. Why can't I tap the 8 of clubs or something to activate one of my 3 power shuffles?

The 3-minute audio track here called "missing part" is why I recommend having a phone recording a voice note as a backup. Originally I thought I'd need to use 20 minutes of the backup, but the rest was recovered by VLC's mysterious ability to open a corrupted file and export a valid version.

There is something a little sad that when I hear "presentation" my mind immediately goes to the corporate setting. It is so cool to see hobbyists getting together and sharing ideas in this way. It's a great format for learning and discussion.

I've made a cover for my title for #AppxNJam title. Not sure if I'll get the whole thing done. I have a plan for a Tunnel Goons dungeon.

My home group will be starting up Mythic Bastionland soon, so I thought I'd throw together a little character sheet. Not quite there yet, but I feel like this, a single image in a big negative space, is the way to go.

I just picked this up. Now all I need to do is gather some cards, a Jenga tower, and a couple of hours to *have intense feelings* 👨‍🚀🤖

In our #MythicBastionland game, we just discussed PC plans. A player tentatively suggested a visit to his home realm - "tentative" cos he worried it would trigger a bunch of prep for me BUT making realms is straightforward and fun, and since it is his home we might prep (non-secret) parts together.

There are ideas here that are familiar, just from experience in play, but it is really helpful to build up a vocabulary for talking about them and dealing with obstacles. Worth a watch!

I played in an Age of Vikings one shot on a Tuesday. I really enjoy when games combine fantasy adventure and grounded domesticity. AoV has, for example, multiple interesting magic systems, but also has a lot of the historical concerns of medieval Icelandic life. 1/3

I've been playing #ttrpg for 15 years. I got the PDF of #MythicBastionland last year, and it has led to the best RPG experiences I've had. But don't take my word for it: my mum (who has never read an RPG book before) flipped through it and said "Wow, this has everything you'd need to tell a story."

This will be the first episode I will listen to when it is released - I was catching up on seasons 1 to 4 since I found the show, and finally got up to date this week. The stories are great, and as a GM and solo player I really enjoy hearing @errantadventurespod.com 's approach and process.

For any GM who wants to feel more confident with running games with a lot of improvisation, I recommend trying some solo play with one of the Ironsworn games. I've learned a lot from playing them. A bit lesson for me is that even small complications can accumulate into big story beats.

Mythic Bastionland is sick. I think it's my favourite @bastionland.bsky.social thing (and I love everything he's made). Lots of neat design ideas. But I love it most for how it infuses chivalric romance into its every facet. You journey through a mythic landscape. Every beat is vibes. 1/

My playtest group started digging into Fabula Ultima this past weekend. I liked the collaborative setting creation because I got to turn one of the islands into a crab.
