Well, this update from the SIFF Cinema Workers Union makes me feel better about the fact that Fucktoys sold out before I got a ticket.

Just clicking through local showtimes of The Odyssey on 70mm & people are simply starved for actual film. Packed screenings for a solid week on both 70mm screens, but Pac Place's standard screenings are mostly empty.

Really solid letterboxd #lastfourwatched here, now that I'm finally caught up! Two directed by women, two leaving Criterion.

For two hours in the middle of the night an alarm went off for two minutes every ten minutes, and anyway now I know exactly what it was like when the Cylons kept attacking on BSG.

Oh dang, a bunch of Joan Micklin Silver is leaving Criterion Channel this month & now I'm running up against my "watch stuff that's new to me" rule when I really want to watch Between the Lines again.

I'm obviously not on speaking terms with my mother, but considering her whole deal and specifically that we visited a sedevacantist community when I lived in Spokane, I'm kind of dying to know what she's thinking about current Church shenanigans.

Boy is this a day before a holiday or what. I had to go see my barista just to have someone to talk to.

I watched a TV show and a movie today and in both of them someone fell through a roof. Sorry to say it didn't happen in either of my books though so I don't have three instances for a trend piece.

This time I was taking the bus past Westlake & the watch party exploded over a goal. I love all these smaller watch parties instead of a single "fan zone"!

They just went to a temple fair in this Thai BL & it looks way more fun than the State Fair of States Held in Not a State. Also someone threatened to sue over getting hit playing bumper cars & what could be more American than that.

I was looking into a Hu Ge movie that is opening in the States this weekend, & the letterboxd summary says that his character "is suspected of being suspicious" so I'm pretty sure we're in for some grade A propaganda.

I'm not allowed to respond to the person begging for Northanger Abbey retellings, so I guess only you folks get to learn about Northranger!
