If I had a nickel for every trans Jade I've met in the past 4 years I'd have like 15 cents which I shouldn't really be that surprised about at this point but it's still nice everytime.

Sometimes after getting high or taking a break I come back to shooters and can't use my dot crosshair. I switch to a plus or a plus with a gap in the middle for a little while. After as little as a day, I'm able to get back to the point where my aim feels right and I can use my dot again.

While my friend was Japan she was able to get me a very cool Ys gift, a physical copy of the Famicom version of Ys 1‼️ I've already played the game and it's quite a different experience compared to other early versions of the game.

Semi-related, I think Tom-Yum-Goong and The Raid are good examples of the kinds of very simple stories that I think work well for action/martial-arts cinema. I wouldn't stop anyone from gunning for something more complex but if they wanna do simple then I'd recommend consulting those.

I wanna re-watch spl kill zone. I remember it being some mid outside of the fight scenes when I first watched it but maybe on a second viewing with adjusted expectations it might come across better to me. I've been kind of spoiled by old boy, a film which, imo, gets the writing and fighting right.
