For #SussexDay, a bit of the path between Lancing and Coombes, that I’ve walked ever so many times, and a view of Lancing Manor that has much sentimental value for me.

So I didn't think Jon Culshaw's Ncuti voice was any good at all, but the sketch made a valid point about all the dialogue telling us how wonderful the Doctor is. The cringest thing in all this is how hyperdefensive fandom gets when the show cops for even a gentle bit of ribbing.

I have to confess to being a little bit "Meh" about Strange New Worlds. It looks lovely, and the cast all do their best, but I've never really cared particularly about any of the characters, and the continuity with Classic Trek only works if you squint quite a bit. Lower Decks was much more fun.

Another Boring B-Side - Morris Minor and the Majors

An open world Forgotten Realms game, Elder Scrolls-style. Waterdeep (including every level of Undermountain) and the whole of the Savage Frontier, as far as Icewind Dale in the north and the edge of Anauroch in the east. Turn-based combat, as it's D&D. Further games to expand the rest of the map.

I've sen a few people claiming recently that they've heard (one of) the next Collection set(s) will be S13. Is there actually a source anyone's "heard" this from, or is it just wish-fulfillment? #DoctorWho

I can handwave away a lot of the complaints about The Reality War, but the mixed messaging of "Belinda is happy being a mum and a housewife because this is the screwed-up fantasy of a misogynist" and "what Belinda really wants is to be a single mum" is a bit fucked up.

So I think I can justify a lot of that on a fannish level. It felt a lot like a comic strip arc, in the series construction as well as in the finale itself. That's all well and good. But *that* ending, I'm worried really won't do the show any good in the court of public opinion. #DoctorWho
