Been having some interesting and good conversations with friends about accessibility in fighting games. 2xko has no directional inputs, which turns some people off, understandably. I personally believe that the FGC is niche and should be happy anyone is playing a game. Encouragement goes a long way!

I mentioned that Chess is in the Esport World Cup, but it's played on monitors. One of my friends joked saying "I miss acoustic chess" referring to a physical board and pieces. I hate that, that's now my new favorite way to refer to it.

EVO drawing to a close, it was a pretty good year. I wasn't personally happy with the Tekken finals but Street Fighter 6 DELIVERED The person I was rooting for not only won, but DOMINATED! I hope I am able to go to one someday. The hype was infectious. GG's to every competitor!

Godzilla: The Series surprisingly managed to correctly predict the advent of Gen AI in 1998, and had an appropriate lesson at the end of the episode.

One thing that I've never understood is that, for some reason, I have become so many people's punching bag. Doesn't matter their relationship to me. If someone is upset, and I am in their proximity, I am the first they swing at. It's made for a difficult life.
