The gameplay design of Metal Gear Solid is often slept on with the story/presentation/style of the classic game taking precedent in gaming’s memory. MGS is such a wonderfully expressive game that does a LOT with major constraints. Likely still untapped potential in the OG formula, tbh.

I’m now a Buffalo Bills fan.

I always end up rewatching The Bear seasons 1&2 every couple of months and while I love many episodes, my favorite moment is Uncle Jimmy explaining the importance of accountability/responsibility by using game 6 of the Cubs vs Marlins NLCS Championship Series. Good shit.

Action adventure games in the mid-late 2000s were so 🔥 Genuinely miss the amount of playfulness and bold choices on camera, rumble, and input of that time for gameplay design. We were so spoiled and I hope many of us gameplay folks celebrate the era when we mentor up and coming developers ❤️

I adore the Active Time Lore feature of FF16. I'm easily confused in dense geo-political narratives and this is such a big boon to my enjoyment of the story.

Goddamn there's some amazing setpieces in FF16! So many over the top moments with great camera work, VFX, animation, audio, etc. I'm having a blast with this game.

FF16 has some of the best wardrobe changes I've ever seen in a video game hahaha
