Yesterday I did something I haven't in a while: wrote a fan mail letter to a mascot. Best-case scenario: ThunderBug loves my letter and responds back with something cool. Worst-case: I get no response. I've experienced that twice. But T-Bug has shown to respond to fans before, so I'm hopeful 😁

NJ Devil's reaction to my jersey alone was priceless, and he insisted on getting a picture, not me. That's special. Who knows, maybe ThunderBug & Roary return for the 2027 event, and I'll know what to expect. Or our paths cross before then. You never know when a furternity opportunity will arise.

I couldn't stop looking at my photos from Blue's Birthday Bash. I left the event disappointed in the moment because I didn't meet all the goals that *I* wanted. But looking back, just getting to see ThunderBug, NJ Devil, Roary, and the others was worth it. Plus, getting even *one* pic was a win.

No official update from the Speedway yet. The *only* way they can have a shot is if they can get the track dried by 5pm Eastern. They can get qualifying done in 3 hours and be done by 8pm - before sunset - *if* there are no cautions. We shall see...

With more weather heading toward the Indianapolis/Speedway area, I don't think they're going to be able to have qualifying for the Indy 500 today.

While I did have a fun time at Blue's Birthday Bash tonight, I left with mixed emotions. On the one hand, it was a blast seeing some of my mascot friends I haven't seen in years, and competing in events like dodgeball and homerun derby. BUT....I was only able to get ONE of my four jerseys signed.

I *was* able to find a reasonably priced, STITCHED blue jersey on Etsy, and the seller has really good reviews/ratings. It won't get here until the end of May or early June, but I'm just glad I was able to find one so quickly. 😁

I'm so frustrated right now, I was doing a dark load of laundry and wanted to sure my blue Thunderbug jersey was washed before Friday's event... ...it's completely ruined. The front logo and back nameplate completely came off. Guess it wasn't stitched like I thought it was.
