#YoungJustice - Independence Day A solid start to the series. I like the focus on the sidekick characters, and their desire to be treated as equals. Their infiltration of Cadmus was fun, and does a good job of setting up the bigger plot.

#Scrubs - My Tuscaloosa Heart A good use of the whole ensemble. I particularly like JD being confronted with his flaws as a doctor, Cox trying to work out his complicated romantic situation, and seeing a different side to Kelso. Elliot investigating Kelso was fun too.

#Scrubs - My Student Good first look at these characters stepping into the mentor role. I particularly like how JD has a hard time working with DJ Qualls' character, becoming an even worse version of Cox. Also nice to see Elliot's shifting dynamic with the spoiled student.

#Scrubs - My Heavy Meddle A decent followup to JD and Elliot's breakup, if a bit of a step down from last episode. I like Turk trying to get them to work things out. Cox was great as usual, as we see him work through his anger. And Carla trying to help her patient was nice.

#Deltarune Finished chapter 5, which was really good. Maybe not my favorite chapter, but I liked what it did with the episodic story and characters, while giving hints at the bigger picture. The side-characters were a lot of fun. Though the final boss kicked my ass, lol.

#Scrubs - My Bed Banter & Beyond This was relationship drama done right. It does a good job showing JD and Elliot's personal issues after getting together, and how it leads to their decision at the end. Turk & Carla make a good contrast, and I like the use of interviews here.

#NightmareOnElmStreet5 Rewatched this, and it's the weakest so far. It still has some great moments, like some of the kills and the moments with darker atmosphere. But it's the least consistent tonally, and some ideas don't land as well as they could have.

#TheAmazingDigitalCircus Really liked the finale. Yes, it was more focused on Pomni and Jax (and they did a great job with Jax in particular), but they did a good job giving everyone their moment to shine. And the ending itself was satisfying, without feeling too cheap.

#StarTrekVoyager - Favorite Son I thought the original mystery, and fake out with the Kim "reveal" were more interesting than the later part of the episode. The siren idea in sci-fi can be hit or miss, and this wasn't one of the better takes IMO.

#StarWars #TheCloneWars - A Friend in Need A really good episode for Ahsoka. I liked her interactions with Lux, and dealing with the consequences of his plan. Also, nice to see the Death Watch brought back again.

#Scrubs - My Drug Buddy A generally solid conclusion to the Alex arc. I like JD having to side with either her or Elliot over the patient. And the later reveal was good. Though the hookup with Elliot was pretty rushed . I also really liked Turk's interactions with Cox here.

#TheBatmanVsDracula This movie really lived up to its hype. One of the better parts of the 2004 series, and up there with some of the best animated Batman movies (though not quite #1). Does a great job blending gothic horror vibes and The Batman's action style.

#Vivy This is a weird case of expecting one genre I love (music anime), but getting another genre I love (AI helper/entertainer, in a (near) apocalyptic future), and turning out for the best. I really like its mini-arcs, with really good sci-fi stories, characters, and action.

TV Highlight: 12 Monkeys Started out as a decent (but weaker) adaptation of the movie, but really grew into its own as it expanded on the time travel ideas and characters, all the way through the very satisfying finale that ties up a lot of the plot threads.

#NintendoDirect As a Switch 1 gamer, not a lot here. I'm most excited for the Delta Rune chapter 5 release date (Let's go!). Final Fantasy Resonance also seems good, but I need to get through more of my FF backlog. Dragon Quest Monsters and Muramasa are in my "maybe" list.

#TheBatman2004 - Lost Heroes, Part 2 A really good finale. I particularly like the fight between the powerless heroes and the powered-up robots. Nice action there, and I like how Batman and the Bat-family play a key part in that and the Joining fight.

#StarWars #TheCloneWars - Escape From Kadorvo Really good continuation of this arc. I like how it shows how Obi-Wan and Anakin handle their situation with the slavers. Obi-Wan specifically reaching a low point. The escape and rescue was really fun as well.

#StarTrekDS9 - The Quickening A pretty tough episode for Bashir, and a really engaging one. I like seeing Bashir dealing with this seemingly unwinnable medical case, and how it affects him as things progress. And I thought the ending worked well for this kind of story.

#StarTrekVoyager - Rise A pretty good episode, which is mainly notable due to the great dynamic between Tuvok and Neelix. The tension between those two was really fun to watch, especially Neelix standing up for himself and pointing out Tuvok's biases.

#SpiderNoir Just watched episode 1, and so far it seems really promising. Good mixture of noir aspects, mixed with the usual Spider-Man elements (albeit leaning more towards the noir). Nicolas Cage seems really good in this role. Looking forward to the rest of the season.

#TheBatman2004 - What Goes Up... While probably the weakest team-up episode, I still liked this for what it was. This version of Hawkman was pretty fun, and I liked the team-up between Shadow Thief and Black Mask.

#TheBatman2004 - The End of the Batman A pretty good episode. Wrath and Scorn were a pretty fun mirror of Batman and Robin, if a bit on-the-nose. But I really liked the stuff with the other villains reacting to them, and eventually working with them, especially Joker.

#TheBatman2004 - Attack of the Terrible Trio One of the weaker episodes, but still had some fun aspects. Good to see more Batgirl screen time. The Terrible Trio themselves weren't the best villains, but the action was fun at times.

#StarWars #TheCloneWars - Slaves of the Republic Strong followup to the last episode. Really like seeing how the rescue mission of the slaves goes, with some interesting bumps along the way. I like the direction it takes near the end, setting up for the next episode.

#Scrubs - My Balancing Act This is good, though doesn't stand out quite as much as others. I like the stories, and there are some really good parts. As always, I think Cox steals the show, both with his side-plot, and his scene confronting JD about choosing his work over Alex.

#StarTrekDS9 - To the Death Great to get more development for the Dominion, as we see how they function as soldiers. I really liked their interactions with the main characters on the Defiant, and the conflicts stemming from their differences. And nice intro to Weyoun.

#StarTrekVoyager - Darkling What originally seemed like an OK Kes episode turned into a decent Doctor story, albeit not his best. I do like the whole Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde homage, and it's fun seeing Robert Picardo taking on this other personality.

#TheBatman2004 - The Metal Face of Comedy You can say this show overused Joker, but they had the ideas to back it up. I really liked the idea of the duplicate Joker, and the interactions between the 2 were fun. And once again, the action was great, with nice Joker weirdness.

#Dorohedoro Recently caught up with this anime. Overall, I really like it. Fun characters, action, and fantasy ideas. I will admit, some parts of season 2 seemed a bit harder to follow for me, and I may want to rewatch it before season 3, but overall it's still going strong.

#TheBatman2004 - Ring Toss Really nice use of Green Lantern here. His interactions with Batman were good. I like this version of Sinestro, and seeing him fight both heroes (especially Batman). It also makes good use of Batman's world, with Penguin adding some good levity.

#NightmareOneElmStreet4 At this point in my rewatch, it's the weakest so far, but I still like it quite a bit. Some really fun moments, with some dreams really standing out, and a pretty solid final girl. Don't love Freddy's returning scene, or how they treat 3's cast though.

#StarWars #TheCloneWars - Kidnapped Nice to get back to some good Anakin/Ahsoka/Obi-Wan action. I like how the call back to Anakin's history with his parents and Obi-Wan. Also, good action with Anakin and Ahsoka working together.

#TheBatman2004 - Joker Express Good Joker episode, even if he's had stronger ones. I like the idea of random people committing crimes for Joker, and the investigation into that was fun. Really liked the chase scene at the end too.

#Higurashi Mehagashi Yeah... That was not good. This type of humor was easily my least favorite part of the main story, so naturally this wouldn't work for me. Some of the light action was ok, but overall just felt awkward.

#StarTrekDS9 - For the Cause A very interesting story for Sisko, as he faces the possibility of betrayal. I like how he tries to walk the line between wanting to trust her, and needing to get to the truth. And the twist at the end was great.

#StarTrekVoyager - Unity A pretty good intro to the Borg into this show, particularly with the idea of the ex-Borg members. I liked Chakotay's interactions with that group, especially once he goes through with the link. And I thought the turn at the end was interesting.

#TheBatman2004 - A Mirror Darkly I thought this one was really good. Nice use of the Mirror Master here. The early investigation scenes help give it that classic Batman feel, while the later team-up with Flash was a lot of fun.

#Higurashi Kamikashimashi This one fell apart hard. For what it's worth, I did like the stuff with the main group trying to survive with the help of the new character Une, but the stuff with Rika wasn't the greatest, and I kind of hated how the story ended.

#StarWars #TheCloneWars - Carnage of Krell Great end to this arc. I loved the increasing division among the clones from Krell's actions, and how that comes to a head with the big reveal. I feel like this was the most consequential clone arc for a while, in not the whole show.

#Scrubs - My Blind Date I liked JD juggling his treatment of the woman that slipped and helping Cox. Nice seeing Turk and Carla's relationship progressing. And Elliot trying to get Cox's attention was fun, and led to good character growth later.

#TheBatman2004 - White Heat While not as strong as the first 3, this was still a good one. I liked the evolution of Firefly, how it affected his girlfriend, and seeing Batman struggle against him. Also nice to see the whole Bat-family dynamic again.

Visual Novel Highlight: Aokana A very fun story focused on a unique fantasy sport. I mostly liked the comedic in the slice-of-life scenes, though some parts fall flat. However, the real strength comes from the deeper character development, and descriptive sports action.

#TheBatman2004 - Vertigo This one was fun. I liked this version of Green Arrow, and his dynamic with Batman. Vertigo himself was an interesting villain, especially given his connection with Oliver's past. Good mix of detective work and action here.

#FridayThe13thANewBeginning I thought this one was good overall, but a bit mixed in some areas. I liked the kills, the buildup to the climax, and how it plays off the previous movie. Not my favorite set of characters in the series, but a few of them were pretty good.

#StarWars #TheCloneWars - Plan of Dissent The best part of this arc yet. I love seeing how Krell's leadership affects the clones, with some remaining loyal, and others going against orders. And the ending does a good job setting up what should be a great continuation.

#Scrubs - My Own Personal Jesus A really good Christmas episode. I particularly like Turk's story, with him letting the patients break down his faith/morale. Some aspects of the resolution may be cheesy in that "Christmas episode" way, but overall it was really well done.

#StarTrekDS9 - The Muse Jake's plot was not good. At best it's dull, and at worst it's weird seeing the sensual nature of the scenes with him an the muse. However, Lwaxana's story is really good. Loved her dynamic with Odo, and how she handles the issues with her husband.
