For week 2 of Jesse Henning's Realtime VFX course over on DoubleJump Academy, we focused mainly on a dissolving effect, here's my results. I'm pretty happy with this one, pretty excited to implement it in my own experiments!

Homework 1 of the VEX chapter in Chris Bohm's houdini course (houdini-course.com) is done, a nice "surface magnet" tool. Surprisiginly enough, the math challenged me the most this time and the Houdini knowledge came pretty fast to me! Good practice to turn vision into reality through code

Homework #5 of Chris Bohm's Houdini Course (houdini-course.com) to recreate halftones turned out pretty simple and I managed it completely on my own without looking anything up, so I'm proud of it 💪 Not very flashy, but I used a frame from my fave movie Hara-kiri since it works best with b&w images

Finished up homework 4 of Chris Bohm's houdini course (houdini-course.com). This one stumped mea little, I had the right ideas to create the group of points on top, but I couldn't figure out the extrusion and make it look good so I cheated a little and looked at his video explanation

Wrapped up the disco ball homework from www.houdini-course.com from Chris Bohm, good practice for attribute transfering. Ideally I would blur the colour attributes a bit but we'll leave that for another day 🙃

Finished the voxelizer tool homework on Chris Bohm's Houdini course (www.houdini-course.com). Happy with the result, and having fun with it! Next steps: remove points inside the mesh and transfer UV and material attributes from the original mesh to make it game ready 🎮
