#WreckCon was a huge success! Thank you to everyone who showed up to play PHAZIKA, you've all made me more excited than ever about this project. Here are the leaderboards from the event (yeah, the numbers are messed up). Nobody managed to dethrone me, but some got scarily close!

I’m returning to WreckCon tomorrow at the Georgia Tech instructional center! I’m showcasing the latest version of my new game PHAZIKA, with lots of all new features including ARENA mode, a new roguelike gamemode. There will be live leaderboards for speedruns and high scores.

Ahhhh, I'm so disappointed I have to make this post, but I will no longer be working on The Betweenlands. After a lot of consideration, I decided there wasn't a good way forward for the game and it wasn't living up to what I hoped it could become. However...👀✨✨

I've been speedrunning the latest version of The Betweenlands Demo and I finally hit a sub 50 second run. If only I didn't miss the very last jump twice. For what was supposed to be a story game, the speedrunning potential goes crazy in The Betweenlands.

EagleCon was so fun yesterday! Some people wrote down their The Betweenlands Demo speedrun times which you can see here. The world record is currently me at 58.39 seconds, with James in second place at around 3 minutes 45 seconds (he didn't write it down). This build is up on Steam, so you can try!

Hey all, I will be at EagleCon this Sunday from 2-8pm at the Emory Student center to show off the latest version of The Betweenlands Demo!! Come by to see me and to see all the new changes and additions to the game! The updated version will also be out on Steam the same day.

I know why the bug is happening but not exactly why. So I implement a solution that I know will work, and I know why it works, but not exactly why.

I finally fixed this stupid bug, hallelujah. It was being caused by an object still firing code after being destroyed in that same frame. Gotta love unity

Shout out to the kid who had to alternate his hands on the keyboard and mouse because he couldn't focus on both at the same time sticking it out and making it almost all the way to the end of the demo. Absolute champ

Now that I've slept for over 12 hours, thank you everyone who came out to WreckCon to play The Betweenlands! I'm so glad you all seemed to like it, even though it was pretty difficult. The demo exhibited at WreckCon is now up on Steam, so you can go to my profile to check it out if you missed me!

Seeing that there’s so much stuff that goes into 3d art that I’ve never touched or even thought about makes me feel like I’m stuck doing 2d for the rest of my career. Not that I dislike 2d at all, but I’ve had various ideas that are only possible in 3d. But it was also a long road to learn 2d, so 🤷

I'm excited to announce that I will be at #WreckCon on March 1 at Georgia Tech! I have been working on a brand new demo for The Betweenlands which will be unveiled at the con. Here's a sneak peek at what it will look like. Can't wait to see everyone there!

I just learned there's a minecraft mod that's also called The Betweenlands. Ok I lied, I knew this a while ago. But it took me so long to come up with this name and it fits my game so nicely that I didn't want to change it. This may get confusing if my game ever gets a modding scene though...
