My heart goes out to all the members of the indie author community who, like me, are in the process of closing their Draft2Digital accounts because it isn't worth dealing with the fee changes they announced yesterday (which are also GROSS). Stay strong, friends. There's space for us somewhere.

Project Hail Mary was a 10/10. Can't wait to see it again! We had a few lingering questions afterward, but nothing too major. I went through 3 tissues.

It's been a long time since we did dinner and a movie out of the house, but tonight we're heading out with some friends to see Project Hail Mary! :D Can't wait! I've been excited for this one since the trailer dropped.

My first love was space. As a grade school kid, I devoured every ounce of information I could get my hands on about the stars, the galaxy and the solar system. It's good to see we're heading back there, re-igniting the fire of exploration. It's well past time.

My husband has been using his model building skills to put together characters from my novels. I source the kits and tell him which parts I want, he paints and assembles. Rose has reached her first stage of completion! :D

There's always a fine line to be struck when writing a short story when it comes to how many words you should devote to description. I am definitely reading one that needed more words x.x It's so bare bones, the story is rapidly growing confusing.

Not only did it not snow this weekend, as forecasted, it was brighter and sunnier than it has been in weeks. I even walked down the street to talk to the neighbor without a jacket. That's usually unheard of for mid-February in our area XD

In the last 2 weeks I've received something like 5 emails that appear to be written by AI praising my books based on information found only in the blurbs and I assume hoping I will reply so that the sender can scam me out of money 🙃 This is not the attention I hope my books will receive.

It took most of January, but I'm finally feeling a bit more grounded in the regular routine. There's still lots of chaos that needs dealing with, but at least I feel like I have a good grasp of the day to day.
