Final- Utah 4, Vegas 2 The Mammoth played a hell of a game in their first home playoff game in team history to take a 2-1 lead in the series.

Karel Vejmelka has been sensational tonight. He's reading the play so well, and getting to his spots early to make saves look way easier than they should. Because of that, he's controlling the rebounds well to avoid havoc in front of him. It has been a clinic.

Jack Eichel finds a puck sitting all alone in front of the Utah net, and pots it to get Vegas on the board. 4-1

Utah strikes again. 4-0 Lawson Crouse snipes Hart's blocker from distance. No traffic, he just beat him clean with a wrister from the top of the circles.

Looks like Tortorella has moved Pavel Dorofeyev down to the 3rd line, replaced by Reilly Smith on the 2nd line with Marner and Howden.

Incredible deflection by Lawson Crouse and Utah takes a 3-0 lead. The Golden Knights had it in the offensive zone for several shifts, couldn't generate much of anything, and then the Mammoth strike in the blink of an eye on the other end.

MacKenzie Weegar puts Utah up 1-0 early, and Delta Center erupts. Hart got a piece of it, but it slipped through him.

Alexander Kerfoot collides with Carter Hart, and he's called for goalie interference. Korczak did seem to steer him into Hart, but it looked like a pretty big collision, so I see why they called it.

Vegas is all over Utah early in this game. That could be a case of nerves for the Mammoth players, considering the moment. The Golden Knights haven't taken advantage of it yet, because Vejmelka has been excellent.

John Tortorella might start burning sage or incense next to Tomas Hertl on the Vegas bench. The guy is creating so many opportunities, but just cannot get a goal.

Ivan Barbashev is a man on fire right now. He dekes through the Utah defense again, and this time he roofs a backhander past Vejmelka to tie it 2-2.

Dylan Guenther has arrived in this series. Missile of a one-timer to give Utah a 2-1 lead.

Huge block by Nic Dowd on the PK

About as boneheaded of a play as you'll see there by Michael Carcone. Utah was going to get a power play after Lauzon hooked Paterka. Then, way after the play, Carcone gets called for unsportsmanlike conduct for something he said, to nullify the power play.

What a move by Ivan Barbashev, but he's stuffed by Vejmelka from in tight. That was quite the deke to get through the Utah defense for that chance.

Hanifin and Lauzon were both shaken up after blocking hard slapshots on this penalty kill. Both seem fine, but they looked painful.

Utah ties it 1-1. It was another friendly fire bounce, similar to Vegas' goal. This time Mackenzie Weegar blasted it from the point, and the rebound went off Andersson's skate in front and into the net.

Stone's centering pass went off Sergachev's skate, so Hertl's scoring drought continues, but it's still 1-0 Vegas.

I've lost track of how many times Utah has iced the puck early in this game. It feels like every time the Mammoth touch it.

Great pass by Barbashev to find Theodore for a dangerous look from the high-slot, and Vejmelka got across for a huge save.

It took less than 3 minutes for the first "Utah sucks" chant from the crowd tonight.

The patience Vasilevskiy showed to not drop into the butterfly on Caufield's fake one-timer is incredible. He didn't even flinch, set his feet, and made a huge pad save on the wrister through traffic. Incredible play

Linus Ullmark’s glove hand in this series

Jake Oettinger has been awesome early in this game. Minnesota is on fire with the puck.

That shoulder shrug by Ullmark near the end of regulation was the save of the postseason thus far. No style points, but at that point just keep the puck out of the net. What a stop!
