Not to get super preachy, but if your MD is telling you to eat better for your heart just do it. Bypass surgery is very similar on a pain scale to the Valve repair I just went through, and I wouldn’t want anyone else to deal with this kind of pain if they can avoid it. So order that salad 😉

Pain is somewhat managed, O2 levels are finally back in a good range, heart rate while still up is starting to come down. There’s a good chance I finally get to go home today 😄

Nice views, three square meals a day, and no kids! If it wasn’t for the brutal pain and discomfort most of this week this would feel like a vacation! 🙃

Well after having a catheter take out after 4 days I’m pretty sure I can check this off as a kink I DO NOT have. 🫠

This surgery really has me motivated to eat better when I’m done, while I wasn’t getting bypass surgery, I’m told it’s very similar on the pain scale. 1/10 would not recommend if you can prevent it.
