We got bullied last night. It isn’t an over reaction to say Brentford could have scored 4 or 5 on clear chances. The pen was ridiculously soft and subjective, and changed the game. Dom Szoboszlai head and shoulders our best player. This season is now clearly one of transition. Not enough aggression.

Overnight reflections, we should have been better set up and organised. The manager has to take responsibility here. There should be no sacred cows - three or four of the starters should have been on the bench - and Wirtz - wasn’t he purchased for this exact game against mid table low block ?

Jones, Frimpong, Ekitike and Wirtz need a run in the side. Personally if this is to end up a season of transistion i would love to see 4-4-2 and there shouldn’t be any sacred cows in the next few games so i would temporarily rest McCallister and Mo. I also think Bradley is struggling big time.

So Wirtz on around 60 today then to run a tired United ragged.

More pissed off today than yesterday. Individual mistakes are killing us, half the players not sure of their place, both first choice fullbacks shouldn’t be in the team, McAllister has fallen off a cliff, and Mo is isolated on the right & out of form. Slot has a lot to ponder in the next 2 weeks.

Salah really should have finished off that Wirtz assist. We would have won comfortably. Oh well.

We had enough chances second half to have grabbed a second. A draw would have been a fair result. Still, a point off the top whilst playing poorly and loads to work on is a positive. I do hope Mo snaps out of it soon though.
