The Rosette Nebula aka Caldwell 49 in SHO. At 5,000 light-years away from us it's over 100 light-years across. Total integration time, split between 2 filters is just over 8 hours. It took me two separate sessions to capture since I don't have a filter wheel.

An updated version of The Pleiades (M45). Another one that I look forward to every year. Made up of over 1000 stars, depending on seeing conditions, you can see anywhere between 7 to 14 stars with the naked eye.

We've had some nice weather lately so I'm taking advantage of the long clear nights. Here's the Sculptor Galaxy. At 11 million light years away it's one of the closest galaxies to us. Hopefully I can come back to it soon with the lextreme to add some Ha to it.

The Crescent Nebula (NGC6888) in SHO. Just like the Horsehead from yesterday I used my LeXtreme and LSynergy filters on 2 separate nights. If you look close enough you can also see the Soap Bubble nebula.

The Horsehead Nebula. This is the first time I’ve tried doing SHO with a OSC using a combination of my Optolong LeXtreme and LSynergy. Due to clouds I spent 2 separate nights imaging. I was able to use 55 × 300s frames from the LeXtreme but only 29 with the Synergy.

When I can't decide which I like more, star or starless I just post both. Here's the Pelican Nebula (IC5070). Taken from my backyard with my William Optics CAT 91 using my LeXtreme filter. I'll be coming back to it once the LSynergy gets here for some hubble pallet.

Decided to let the kittens out tonight 😂. I have my Redcat 51 on one mount and the Cat 91 on the other. The moon will be bright tonight but at least it's clear. Can't let it go to waist.

The Triangulum Galaxy, a spiral galaxy that's 2.73 million light-years away and one of the largest in our local galaxy group. This is using data from 2 different sessions. Captured the RGB data in Sept and did a dedicated session with my LeXtreme last night for Ha data

Another Orion Nebula but this time in more natural color. I'm trying to improve my workflow in Pixinsight and decided to try a HDR composition. I didn't want to overdo it with making too many adjustments to the core. I'll likely play around with the data some more.

The Orion Nebula is my favorite target. It's one of the easiest to shoot but when I see the Orion Constellation in the sky it reminds me that winter nights are coming. This was taken last night from my backyard.

First light with my Apertura CarbonStar 8" Ritchey-Chretien. Went smoother than I thought. Here is M16 from last night. Total integration time is 3 hours 20m. Used my LeXtreme filter since the moon was close by.

I ended up having issues with collimation on the NS 8se last night. I didn't want to waste the clear skies so I ended up bringing my CAT91 out last minute. Here is The North America Nebula, NGC 7000. First time imaging it and I think next time I'm going to frame it a little better.

Four years ago today my first telescope arrived, a Celestron NexStar 8se. I had never looked thru one but always wanted to. But once I did I was hooked. Not really an imaging scope but I'm going to give it a try tonight.

I've been planning on getting a Apertura CarbonStar 200 Newt since I saw it came out. I put up my CS 150 for sale as well as a couple others to fund the purchase. Well, just as I was about to order one I changed my mind and actually decided to get an Apertura 8" CarbonStar RC instead.

It's been way too long but last night we finally got some clear skies so I dedicated half the night to the Lagoon and Trifid Nebulas. While processing I really liked the way the starless came out so here are two versions. I used my William Optics CAT 91.

Some more wide field. This was taken over this past weekend. We actually had a single night of "clear" skies in weeks. This is M16 (Eagle Nebula) and M17 (Omega Nebula). This was from a 2 hour session using my Rokinon 135mm lens.

I've been holding onto this once since March. Widefield of the Christmas Tree and Rosette nebulae. It's a 2 panel mosaic that I've been working on. Used my Rokinon 135mm. I couldn't get as much data as I wanted this past winter so I'll have to try again next winter.

Picked up an Astrodymium ring system for my Rokinon 135mm. Now I need to convince myself that I don't need to buy another focuser and just install one I already own 😂.

Last night was suppose to be clear but it was partly cloudy. I captured roughly 3 hours of data but unfortunately only an hour was good. Here's the Lobster (NGC6357), Cat Paw (NGC6334) and Bug (NGC6302) Nebulae.

Since I've gotten the Zwo Camera Angle Adjuster I've had one annoyance and that's that I have to either mount my asi air to the handle or the mount. I really like using the handle as just a handle so I found the mounting plate. The color almost matches. IRL it doesn't look as orange.

The Leo Triplet (M65, M66, and NGC 3628) is a group of galaxies that is about 35 million light-years away in well the constellation Leo. You can also see NGC3593 in full scale. This is from my session last night from my backyard of course.

My contribution from last night's Lunar Eclipse. I wasn't able to capture the entire eclipse. Once totality hits the Seestar loses track and then clouds moved in (not surprised). Sorry for the shake, it's from the Seestar trying to keep the moon centered and this is also sped up.

Looking forward to the Lunar eclipse tonight. I have my Seestar S50 setup outside. The nice thing about it is that it has an rtsp feed that I can connect to with OBS and then record directly on my PC. Hopefully the clouds stay away.

Lower's Nebula (SH2-261) an emission nebula in Orion. It is 2935 light years away. Although I was imaging for 5 hours, there was only about an hour of clean frames. Unfortunately some clouds rolled in after I went to bed. I'll have to try again some other night

As always I get new gear and it's cloudy. Did some test shooting last night. I wasn't polar aligned and I wasn't in perfect focus. I really just wanted to do some testing with the lens. Here's a single frame. Just with the auto stretch that the Asiair does. Hopefully we get clear skies soon.

The Jellyfish Nebula is the remnant of a supernova. Located in the Gemini constellation, it's 5,000 light-years away. I was expecting clear skies all night last night but clouds rolled in at around 2 AM. So this is only 4 hours of integration time.
