Hey all. I may have missed it with all the Super Bowl stuff, but what’s the status of the trials for those three ICE agents we saw on video executing Alex Pretti and Nicole Good?

Was sitting on the couch yesterday watching the Super Bowl and my two teenage sons asked me not to go to any more protests. I asked why and they said “we don’t want you to die.” Is this the country we want to live in? Are we great yet?

Saw this NYT post and had a thought: would actively and enthusiastically participating (not disrupting!) in a church service be considered a crime in the US? Also: do churches with ICE agents for pastors enforce dress codes?

For those making fun of people who watched the TPUSA alternative halftime show, please remember: It’s their tv, so it’s their choice. Everyone’s right to make choices about their own tv is a cornerstone of individual freedom in the USA. I’m sure they wouldn’t step on your freedoms.

So many of us are outraged at Trump’s Truth Social post. But the target audience he was sending it to are still there. This is the same hate that was forced underground after reconstruction and the Civil Rights movement. We let it fester and grow, and Trump depends on it for his base.

I keep waiting for a day or two to pass where there isn’t something new the US administration does that outrages me, so I can reset and recharge my batteries. It’s been weeks now. Every. Single. Day.

Hey congress: if you’d like to do something good. Change the law that allows DHS to have immigration checkpoints within 100 miles of a border. Stop them at the border crossing, or find them via legal methods that don’t infringe on our 4th amendment rights.

I’ve had friends and family say they plan to move to another country if MAGA takes control of the elections. My question to them is: “if we let MAGA do that, what will the rest of the world look like in a few years?” Stay and resist > flee.

I don’t always agree with the Catholic Church, but this is worth sharing from today’s NYT:

Starting to feel like Trump admin has tipped the scale. They realize they may not win elections, so are preparing to hold onto power regardless.

It shouldn’t even matter if you agree with Trump policies or not. What should have all of us terrified is the entire administration rushing to the tv cameras to lie & throw away the 1st, 2nd, and 4th amendments before simply saying “yeah, maybe those agents shouldn’t have shot those people.”

Ok. I guess my line was crossed now. So I’ll risk losing friends, family and career to say: I don’t think the Federal government should have the right to shoot and kill me for legally carrying a weapon while peacefully protesting and video taping, and then lie about it all the way up to the prez.
