Weighing up a walk this weekend. Heather is out with Zach all Saturday. The weather in the lakes looks a bit naff. Sunday they're both at home, but the weather in the lakes looks good.

Walking the dogs this morning and someone has wedged a huge metal rod in the ground on a playing field. Concerned that it could impale a dog or child I tried to remove it, but failed.

I've been doing Zach's bath, bottle bed this week. So far he has slept through both nights 💅

Trying to decide my next Wainwright walks, depending on the weather at the weekend. I'm torn between new ones for all of us, or new ones for the dogs that I have done. It is stressing me out a bit.

Drugged Luna for her haircut last night because her ears were really matted. Only had time to do the ears. Now she's got a tiny little head and a massive body and it is so funny.

Haven't done pull-ups in months. Just cleared the bar and did five proper ones with no bother. I would like to thank my hefty son for keeping me strong.

A woman stopped us on our hike on Friday. Explained she had lost her husband in the mist at the top of the hill and asked me to keep an eye out. Just checked the Wasdale Mountain Rescue Instagram page and it looks like he was eventually found safe later that night.

Omg I've been so tired this afternoon. Went to put my shoes on to get Zach, fell asleep when I sat down and Heather apparently couldn't wake me and went to get him instead.

Anyway, episode 8 of From was fab. I have never been so invested in a television show. It is a bit ridiculous.

I should go to bed, but being with people all weekend is making me want to stay up so I can be alone for longer

Got back from my camping/hiking trip. Shower and straight to my parents for a family gathering. Have about 15 minutes to obtain From and everything on my laptop is SO SLOW.

So I went to the barber this week. I was generally struggling to hear, barber had forgotten his hearing aids that morning. The other barber is shouting over the sound of the hair dryer he was using to dry his customers hair. It was hard work.

This ear has refused to pop. I've just sneezed and deliberately covered both nostrils and closed my mouth. A brief flash of pain, but I think we're mostly back!

There's a video of Zach having a little tantrum. Can't stop watching it because it is so funny. The reason for it was he wanted a cake so we gave him one. Which made him the angriest person alive.

Just putting Zach to bed and he's showing me his big wooden police car. Rolling it around and saying "caaaaaar". All very lovely. Then suddenly out of the darkness he hits me with it at full force right in the middle of my face. Absolutely brutal.

Camping this weekend with the dogs, my brother and his friend. The weather looks quite reasonable. Not cold, not hot, not much wind, no rain. Perfect

In the office today. Forgot to take the antibiotics with me, so must now suffer through them for one full final day.

There appears to be a black version of my dog walking knife. While I'm not a "knife guy" and one is plenty, I would like to have it.

The ear still feels so close to popping. This is the final boss of this illness.

Found a lump on my eyeball under my eyelid where it meets the socket. In sure it's fine, but can the THINGS just stop please.

Took them to the beach and we did the big four hour walk. Can't say I enjoyed the walk back along the beach because persistent strong winds and a sore ear don't go well together.

I'm going to take the girls to the beach this morning in a weak attempt to make up for this week being a bit rubbish for them.

My ear is so close to doing The Final Pop and I think I'll feel normal again.

Managed three hours before Zach woke me up by belting me over the head with a little plastic turtle toy.

Came upstairs for a nap after my shower and I just can't fall asleep 😭 It's been an hour now so it obviously isn't happening.

Awake earlier than I'd like, but also managed a fair chunk of actual sleep so we'll take it!

Zach has a water table in the back garden. Left him for a minute only to come back and see him drinking a big cup of water from it 🙃

Despite the sleep, I have passed out at my desk three times in two hours. Should 100% have phoned in sick this week.

Had a sleep on my lunch and omg it was incredible.

£100 poorer to find that Luna has not been bitten by a rat, but has most likely bit/banged her face while chasing the rat. Painkillers and precautionary antibiotics just in case.

Fell back asleep for half an hour and had a terrible dream that I lost Bonnie. Tied Luna to a railing while I looked for her, then forgot where I'd tied Luna up.

Now that I'm wide awake the cough seems to have totally vanished 👍 This has been such a hard week to simply exist.

In the latest edition of It Never Ends; Luna has cut her paw on something and the right side of her face is really swollen.

Once again awake due to The Coughing.

From the commotion I've just heard from the garden I think Luna must have got a rat.

Heather is out tonight straight from work so Zach has had the odd experience of coming home and not seeing her at all. Managed to get him fed, washed and put to bed without any disasters 🙏
