Been informed that I accidentally locked Luna out in the garden for three hours last night. She was let in at 1:30am

The police have just been outside the house opposite for about half an hour. Blue flashing lights on etc. It took every ounce of self control to not go have a look through the blinds.

Woke up at 4:30. Did the mountain of dishes, had some breakfast. I still have the opportunity to get a shower AND walk the dogs before work.

The gates at the park close an hour earlier from today until the start of March 😭

Decided to get the oai harvester validated for the two repositories I oversee. Validation failed for our main repository over something I just can't explain. Feel like I'm losing my mind the more I investigate it.

Made eggy bread and had it with some of the chilli "jam" I made yesterday 👍

Had an encounter with another dog owner tonight at the park. Nothing serious. Our Bon was running ahead and further down the field a woman was stood with her dog on the corner of a path that joined me. She starts screaming "get your dog! Get your dog!" and I'm like "what? Why?"

Finished work at 4, walked the dogs for 2.5 hours. Then made the dogs chicken omelettes, then our tea, accidentally made a chilli jam that I didn't need, then some pancakes.

Woke up this morning and it was dark until so much later than I'd realised. It is time for me to start my running-in-the-early-hours again 🙏

Also, he turned 10 months old at the weekend

Been teaching Zach how to climb down from surfaces on his stomach instead of head first. Had his "12 month" health visit today and he demonstrated it perfectly 😎

It involved making a chilli "jam". Asked for 35g of caster sugar, I only used 150g and it was incredibly sweet. I'm usually a very "follow the recipe to the letter" type of person until I've made it a few times.

Followed a recipe for a fancy sandwich and the result was pleasant, but there's no way anyone can fit everything on one baguette.

Woke up at 4qm to an almighty crashing of glass and furniture. Shout up off the couch ready to murder someone. Luna had knocked over my table with all my glasses of water on 👍

It's alright tbf. Helps if you remember that he's had no sleep for weeks throughout the whole thing.

Joking with Heather the other day and said I'm only going to do bench presses on my bench so that I get a huge chest and the rest of me remains as is.

Fwiw, I'm broadly against mandatory IDs. But yeah, the one time these people could be useful I'm betting they'll roll over and say "good, this is fine".

Interested to see the response to the digital IDs from the "COVID is 5G", "vaccines are microchips!" crowd given the framing around the IDs targeting/excluding immigrants.

Oh I almost forgot! There was a pigeon on the ground today, maybe injured or stunned. The dogs ran up to it and we're very interested, but left it alone when I asked them.

Thinking about the last episode of FROM season 3 again. No spoilers, but that episode was one of the best bits of TV I've seen.

Heading out with the girls soon. Can't decide on shorts or trousers. To put trousers on is to really accept the death of summer. To wear shorts is to risk having cold leggies.

Haven't had time to walk the dogs today and won't have time later. Heather has taken them out, but my day does not feel right without taking them out myself.

Really don't want to watch House of Guinness, but parts of it were filmed at the park we go to every day and I'm so curious to see how they transformed it.

Think today is going to finish me off. Woke up late. Have family coming round today. Can't log in to my servers. Haven't got time to walk the dogs. Need to get a car going and move it somewhere else after work.

Putting Zach to bed tonight so naturally he's decided to be wide awake and wants to explore his room. Anyway he's just used his newly learned skill of waving to enthusiastically wave at NOTHING in the corner of the room.

There's a flock of geese flying over the garden as I'm sat out with the dogs. Geese might as well be a million miles up in the air. Bon decides she MUST bark at them.

Off out on my mental health walk. An unusual one because it will significantly degrade my mental state.

In a meeting then and there's this guy who has such a dry sense of humour. He started talking about a kettle he used to own. By the end of the story I had to turn off my camera due to ugly laughing.

I've got too much to do and I'm finding switching between tasks to be too difficult. There's never enough time to do anything properly and well. Like today I've got database maintenance, server updates and upgrades, front end development, back end development. General admin tasks.
