OMG, except for one modern book, the library has like 100 books on canning from the 1970s. I know canning is canning but there’s a lot of modern equipment — water baths, safety tongs, etc. manufactured in the last 50 years! I’d like to learn about those as well. 🤨

It's Thursday morning, I checked twice.😆 Was up until 2am and how terror attack documentaries came into my YT is beyond me but I couldn't stop watching. Up at 8:30 for a Costco gas run, bin out and popped into the market for the veggie dumplings. Home and caffeinating. Good morning!

Fell asleep post vaccines and when I woke up, I thought it was 5:30am and already Thursday morning but it was still Wednesday and 5:30pm. Very pleased with this development because I thought I missed my pizza and gin and tonic window! 🍕🍹🤣

So driving home from my vaccine appointment and this car somehow flipped perfectly onto its side and this guy was climbing out of the now, top. Very lucky young man.

In spite of the government, I am flu vaxed and COVID boosted. 💉And the pharmacist told me gin and tonics are NOT contraindicated for this evening! 😉

Not surprisingly, I fell asleep for 2 hours. In my defense, I did wake up at 5am and I had an enormous gin and tonic! 😆 I have consumed vegan Mac and Cheese with added crispy tofu for protein and I'm very pleased as there's vegan chocolate cake for later!

The lower sugar tonic definitely tastes a bit different but not enough to consume all that extra sugar. And I've discovered, the cocktail was indeed a celebration of Mom and a covert indulgence of salty snacks ...not gonna lie. About 1/3 finished and already a little sideways. Is it nap time? 😛

People are so bothered by veganism, they need government intervention. 😂

So I had no idea that a 750ml Sapphire Gin would cost almost $30 bucks and worse, I had no idea how much sugar is in tonic water. I bought these two with lower sugar. Could be a disaster but we shall see. The Elderflower sounds nice. Mom and I loved gin, hopefully, I'll be happy drunk! It's 50/50 🤷‍♂️

Had a lovely ride in semi cooler temps today to test the padded ass shorts. I don’t think they work but we’ll know for sure … tomorrow. 🚴‍♂️ 🩳 🍑

Last year, today, my Mom died. She had a long/painful illness, it's all I've thought about this past year. Today, I'm boxing that up and remembering our years of laughter, happiness, love and acceptance. My parents had a real love affair that I was jealous of at times. I hope they're together. ❤️

That sourdough "enhancer" will not be used again. It's got a rye more than sourdough taste and it closed the crumb a little bit but still tasty smothered in butter, even vegan butter. 😉😆😆

One more stretch and fold and the bread will be ready for baking. I've been proofing in the oven today so the AC needs to be turned off for the last rise on the counter while the oven heats to 450F/232C but the second it's in the oven, that AC is going back on. Damn it's hot out there today!

Complaining about weight but I'm going to bake some bread in spite of the 90F/32C temps. I bought this sourdough "enhancer" for home baked bread but it's about to expire.😱 It cost at least $1.99. Waste not want not and all that so I guess the universe is forcing me to bake bread? Yeah, ok, that. 😉

Biking is my go-to cardio but my 60 year old ass hurts too much and the boys get sleepy after a 15+ mile ride on a tiny seat. I can't believe I just bought padded shorts. Who am I?

The Body Composition Scale of Shame has spoken - intermittent fasting did not affect my weight at all. It did dehydrate me a tiny bit but the plus is I lost 1.1% of visceral fat. I'm happy with that but not enough to starve myself. There's no denying it, the detested exercise can't be avoided.

I’m typically off work on Tuesdays but I have to make a presentation this morning so weekend fun starts at around 11am with a trip to Costco. Who knows how to live? 🙄
