I recently had a crash on an IsValid(Actor) check in Unreal and learned that whenever you use StreamableManager.RequestAsyncLoad with a lambda and need to capture a UObject (like an Actor) it's only safe to capture the object as TWeakObjectPtr instead of the raw pointer! #gamedev #unrealengine #ue5

A common issue with replication in Unreal is that if your property changes often on the server-side, the clients do not get the OnRep function call for every single change. You can't rely on it for states transitions and it's one of the more frustrating things to debug. #gamedev #ue5

Be careful when using Level Sequence with Binding Tags. The “Add Binding” call should be done before the “Play” call. Otherwise the level sequence will unnecessarily spawn a new actor during "Play" and then destroy it when the binding happens. #ue5 #gamedev
