Better late than never! I've been slowly chipping away at updating renders and getting my #mayterials from earlier this year ready to post. I finally sat down knocked the last of it out over the holiday break. They're up on Artstation now, let me know what you think!

#Mayterials 14 - Crumbling Did Oreos last year so I did Chips Ahoy this year! Started with a 3D Scan as a base. Clean up / stylization pass in ZBrush along with broken versions. Arranged some by hand in ZBrush and filled the rest in Designer. #Mayterials2025 #SubstanceDesigner

Didn't realize today was the 30th anniversary of Chrono Trigger. Easily one of the best SNES games & one of the best JRPGs of all time. Might have to play through it again since it's been a while since I've picked it up.

#TheClubsRockingNewYear Rock 04: Wrapped up the 2nd version of Rock 04 just in time but I'm not as happy with it as I was with yesterday's. I wish I had more time to polish it up but it is what it is. Oh well.🤷‍♂️ Hopefully ZBrush doesn't cause any more issues going forward.

#TheClubsRockingNewYear Rock 02: There are a few moments here that I really like but overall I think the flow of the details could still use adjustments in some areas. Not bad for a quick, 1-hour rock sculpt though. 🤷‍♂️

Next round of pixelated Mayterials: 05 - Hazardous 06 - Repetition 07 - Shimmering 08 - Fuzzy Some of these work better than others while pixelated but I'm sharing the results regardless.

Had fun running last year's Mayterials through a pixelizer so I decided to start doing the same with my Mayterials from this year too. 01 - Clutter 02 - Rustic 03 - Shattered 04 - Mosaic Grabbed directly from Designer, with some minor adjustments in Photoshop. No fancy renders for these.

Just realized I never shared my 3rd set of pixelized materials over here. I pixelized a prop too but bsky doesn't do videos yet. 😭

Some of these materials straight up look better pixelized. Here's a few I had made last year ran through the setup.

Ran a few more materials through my simple pixelizer setup. I might keep this experiment going tomorrow and share the results!

Picked up Prodeus over the weekend and I've been loving the blend of old/new gameplay, textures and rendering techniques. Inspired me to run some of my Mayterials through a pixelizer setup to see what that would look like.
