no 28, Crystal. My original idea for this one was sub-par so, in a way, I'm glad I left it until waaay late to do it properly; I think this one has some neat elements to it that I'd like to improve on in the future.

Mechatober 27, Otherworldly; things got a little bit Klendathu. I refuse to accept this new month's attempt to stop me getting everything finished on schedule :D

no 26, Race. It's basically a skating mech with jet engines for fists, that naruto-runs. I like the idea, not so much the execution, so it's one I'll return to at another point.

20, Tread. I don't know why, after the monowheel tank, I was struggling for an idea for tread: All I had to do was design a robot that used the instability of a trike to ruin the functionality of a tank! :D

22, Hollow. My initially thoughts were along the lines of Zakat; a big hollow sphere type mech. Glad I persisted, as I prefer this idea. It's based on the Brazen Bull.

19, Flame. This one took too long because all I could think about was a robot with it's head on fire. Think I did enough to make it seem a little interesting, but it's probably one that could do with a revisit to push the idea a bit further.

17, Duelist. Had a very wild train of thought going for this one; an oversized revolver with a basket hilt wrapped around the mech's body. It's not a combat mech, but designed exclusively for competition shooting (at another mech).

No. 12 - Bio. I guess I put a fair few "bio" elements in my designs anyway so, for this one, I just turned them up a little bit; more teeth, tongue body, and a pumpkin colour-scheme to appear suitably spoopy.

, 09 - Toxic. Went with something based on one of those frogs you shouldn't lick (more than all the other frogs you also shouldn't lick). They're poisonous but that counts as toxic, right?

no 6 - Experimental. And it's a bone-armoured monowheel-tank. I have to admit, I got a bit stuck on what would actually make something -look- experimental. Best I could come up with was something that looked so obviously destined to fail it could never be more than an experiment.

Goddamnit! It's only Thomas the Tank Engine again. I think my default colour-scheme settings need rebooted. Anyways, it's Mechatober2025 no 5: Scavenger. I figure it puts fancy bits in the container on its back and has a limited ability to carry things while mono-wheeling about.

No 4. Antique... Ball gown? It's all I could come up with and it has, by far, the largest teeth I've ever put on a robot.

No.2 Mercenary. And, apparently, nothing screams "mercenary" to me more than a demented Thomas the Tank Engine enthusiast. I had to put some orange on the top to try and break that vibe down a little bit :D

Very nautical themed spaceship. Started with the small one in the foreground, that I figured was a little too small to qualify as a "ship", so I whacked a big ol' cargo hauler behind it.

My favourite part of this design ended up being the carrot-sarcophagus-projectile fingers. As the timelapse shows, they weren't my initial plan but, once I coloured them orange, I knew it was the right decision.

It's a cyborg. So it should probably have humanoid feet... but I've spent so much time drawing my weird robot feet that I'm affraid I may have forgotten how to actually draw normal, humanoid feet :'D

I quite enjoy the hyper-extension on the collar bones as a means to clear the thunder. it ensure the arms have a good range of movement and the thighs still have it goin' on.

I feel like my robots sketches have been getting a bit too formulaic, so I wasn't finishing any. This little brain refresher has freed up my mind though. Also, side notes: single arm, can go all around the body.

Since that flowery broad-shouldered robot I did, I've become obsessed with maroon/yellow against desaturated blue for colour-schemes; they're very pleasing colours.

First Shiptember design. Got to admit, I feel the colour-scheme is a little sedate; I need to change that up. The flower pattern on the second-to-last mech I posted might really work well on something larger like this.

Flower theme with some flying daggers. Might play around with similar "paint jobs" on future mechs, a bit of refinement and it could look quite cool.

A mix of an old F1 car and a smol tank. It's a fun juxtaposition of incompatible design philosophies. The "weakspot" obviously being the exposed engine at the back; about 50% of the vehicle, and all the view from the rear is funny; whomever took the lead would always be wiped out :'D
