I have been humbled. My waiting had a purpose. The young lady who took me to the gate was who I was supposed to speak to today. I needed a bit more faith. Not in the airport or airline, but much higher.

I’ve been sitting in a wheelchair for an hour waiting to get assistance to my gate at the Charlotte Airport. My elderly parents got up very early so I wouldn’t be stressed, but all of that was for naught. I’m watching by boarding time get closer and I’m not even the first one in line.

Tonight, we did something everyone counted out. We proved to a nation that states like Tennessee are still worth fighting for. The margin was close, and that can only be attributed to the thousands of volunteers who showed out. This is just the beginning.
