loading . . . No One Celebrates Holidays Like Jordan love Everyone has heard about how good Jordan Love is during Toyotathon, and all of it is true. Love is 11-5, and has thrown 29 touchdowns to just 1 interception. His passer rating during the timeframe is 108.6. They are elite numbers, without a doubt. But Toyotathon isn't even when Love is at the peak of his powers; it's when he plays on a holiday.
Jordan Love has now played on a holiday five times in his career: three times on Thanksgiving Day, once on Christmas Eve, and once on New Year's Eve. Love has been brilliant in all five contests. His stat line: 102/151 (67.55%), 1251 yards, 14 TD, 0 INT, 8.28 Y/A, 1 sack, and a 123.8 passer rating. Love's numbers are absurd, to say the least. But more important than filling up the box score is winning, and Love has done exactly that.
When Jordan Love has started a game on a holiday, the Packers are 5-0, averaging 31.2 points scored, and the average margin of victory is 10.6. Four of the five victories came on the road, and three were against divisional opponents. Simply put, Jordan Love has been dominant on holidays. He's led his team to impressive wins in crucial points of the season. Let's dive into each of Love's holiday performances.

Thanksgiving, 2023
22/32 (68.75%), 268 yards, 3 TD, 0 INT, 8.38 Y/A, 0 sacks
Jordan Love's first start on Thanksgiving was a dandy. The Packers went on the road and beat the Lions in Detroit by a score of 29-22. Love got things started by hitting Christian Watson for a 53-yard gain, then followed it up by throwing a 10-yard touchdown pass to Jayden Reed. On the next drive, Love threw a 9-yard touchdown to Tucker Kraft. At halftime, the Packers held a 23-6 lead. Love's third touchdown pass came in the third quarter when he found Watson again for a 16-yard touchdown.
It still is one of Love's best performances to date. He went on the road to a hostile environment against a team that went on to win 12 games and controlled the game. Love had a CPOE of 7.30%, a passer rating of 125.5, and a QBR of 89.7. Even PFF loved his performance, giving him an overall grade of 86.6. The only downside of the day is that Love didn't get the famous turkey leg from FOX after the game.

Christmas Eve, 2023
17/28 (60.71%), 219 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT, 7.82 Y/A, 1 sack
Jordan Love had a very Merry Christmas. The Packers beat the Carolina Panthers on the road 33-30. The Packers scored on their first four possessions of the game. On the day, Jordan Love ran for one touchdown and threw for two. His first touchdown came early in the second quarter on a 1-yard quarterback sneak. Love then hit Dontayvion Wicks for a 21-yard touchdown to end the first half. The Packers had a comfortable 23-10 lead at the start of the second half. Love threw for another touchdown in the fourth quarter when he found Romeo Doubs for a 5-yard touchdown. The Panthers eventually tied the game at 30-30, but Jordan Love put together an impressive final drive to hit a game-winning field goal. Love completed passes of 36 yards and 20 yards to put the Packers in position.
It was a very business-like day for Jordan Love. He generated a passer rating of 109.1 and a QBR of 90.5, which was his highest QBR of his career at that time. PFF gave him an overall grade of 77.4, which is an above-average grade. His CPOE was -5.00%, which isn't great, but he scored well in most of the other metrics. Most importantly, when the game was on the line, Love came up clutch. The Packers' lack of defense allowed Carolina to stay in the game, but Love led a game-winning drive to seal a victory on Christmas Eve.

New Year's Eve, 2023
24/33 (72.73%), 256 yards, 3 TD, 0 INT, 7.76 Y/A, 0 sacks
Jordan Love rang in the New Year with a dominant performance over a division rival. The Packers traveled to Minnesota and came out with a 33-10 victory over the Vikings on Sunday Night Football. Jordan Love totaled four touchdowns on the night: three passing and one rushing. Two first-half touchdown passes to Jayden Reed and a rushing touchdown by Love gave the Packers a 23-3 lead at halftime. Love threw his third touchdown to Bo Melton at the end of the third quarter, and that was the dagger.
A divisional game on the road is never an easy environment to go into, but Love was sensational. His performance led to a CPOE of +0.90%, a passer rating of 125.3, and a QBR of 82.7. He even got an overall grade of 90.8 from PFF, which was the second-highest grade of his career at that point. The win kept Green Bay's playoff hopes alive by getting them back to a .500 record. It was, and still is, one of the better games of Love's career.

Thanksgiving, 2024
21/28 (75.00%), 274 yards, 2 TDs, 0 INT, 9.79 Y/A, 0 sack
It was another successful Turkey Day for Jordan Love and the Packers. Green Bay hosted the Miami Dolphins for a Thursday night, prime-time matchup. The Packers won handily, 30-17. The weather worked in the Packers' favor. It was a cold night, and Miami hadn't been good in any cold-weather matchups for years. Luckily, the cold never bothered Love anyway. He threw two touchdowns to Jayden Reed in the first half, helping give the Packers a 24-3 lead at halftime. That proved to be all the Packers needed.
Jordan Love didn't get his turkey leg on Thanksgiving in 2023, but he did in 2024. The Packers' signal caller had a very efficient day, with much of the damage coming in the first half. He had a very strong CPOE at +5.30%. His passer rating (129.2) and QBR (83.8) were also some of the best numbers of his career. PFF was slightly harsher on Love's performance, giving him a score of 77.7, but that's still an above-average grade. The win put the Packers at 9-3 on the season, and kept them right in the playoff mix. All in all, it was another excellent Thanksgiving Day for Jordan Love.

Thanksgiving, 2025
18/30 (60.00%), 234 yards, 4 TDs, 0 INT, 7.80 Y/A, 0 sacks
Last Thursday's performance just showed Jordan Love should play on Thanksgiving Day every year. The Packers' quarterback was exceptional on the holiday for the third year in a row. Love helped lead the Packers to their third-straight win on Thanksgiving Day by beating Detroit 31-24. Despite throwing touchdowns to Dontayvion Wicks and Romeo Doubs, the Packers only had a 17-14 lead at halftime. Love kicked off the second half by hitting Christian Watson for a 53-yard touchdown to extend the lead. The Lions continued to hang around, but Love threw his fourth touchdown of the day to Wicks, and that proved to be the dagger.
Four touchdown passes matched a career high for Jordan Love. His performance led to a passer rating of 124.2. His QBR of 94.9 is the second-highest score of his career, behind the Dallas playoff game back in 2023. Love also generated an impressive CPOE of +6.80%. PFF gave Love an overall score of 91.2, an elite number. The win marks a sweep of the Lions and keeps the Packers in striking distance of winning the NFC North. Jordan Love on Thanksgiving is just a different specimen.
