Reading the news this morning sure hasn't done much good for my mental and emotional exhaustion.

Wish I knew whether people are just better at getting over things or just better at putting on a good face than I am. I certainly seem to stay traumatized for longer, or I just suck at moving on. I have no fucking idea, both my head and heart ache.

Puppy slept through all the fireworks and chaos. Was awake at his usual 8am but did go back to sleep after bathroom break, breakfast and water. So I got sooooome sleep...

Every New Years I tell myself next year will be better. It never is and I'm over trying to be optimistic. 2025 was awful for me and the few good things (Tycho, some fun kayaking trips), come no where close to outweighing the bad. '26 will be more bullshit. I'm tired man, so fucking tired.

Tycho has started cuddling the first twenty or so minutes every morning after he wakes up. Then he remembers he is a chaos elemental and it's back to puppy antics. But I can see the foundations of my 100lb snuggle buddy developing and I am so ready.

Consistent bad nights are getting irksome.

My precious baby is such a vivid dreamer. Laying here listening to his happy little yips and excited squeaks while he's very much deeply asleep. I'm happy that despite the sudden upset in our life, he's settled in enough to dream peacefully. Love you little man. I've always got your back.

It's currently 21F out, wind chill brings that down to a real-feel of 4F. Sustained winds of 26mph with gusts up to 36mph, and my snow puppy has made it very clear he will never come inside again.

I am almost certain my sunconscuous was trying to break my neck in my sleep. So fucking stiff and sore this morning 😭

Merry Christmas little man. It's not the one we had planned but it was damn good. Here's to many more with friends and family.

Lifted Tycho awkwardly today and fucked my back up pretty good. Amusingly, three weeks from today marks the 2 year anniversary of herniating my L5-S1 disc in my back. Hoping this is just a muscle injury that'll be better in a few days because I don't want any more disc injuries, they are awful.

furry romance stories but where they're both confident adults who know what they want neither is bashful, neither runs roughshod over the other- but are instead both matured people who wrangle with the weight of the baggage they bring into a new relationship.

It's my puppy's first Christmas tomorrow and I am so very excited to watch his brain short circuit while it's present opening time.

Drinking a beer and throwing the ball in the backyard for my dog. Despite everything, life is okay and will get better.

I love all the grumbly old man sounds my 5 month old puppy makes while sleeping.

I have the best support network of friends imaginable and I am learning its okay to ask for help and for things you need.

Tycho is a white girl for sure, loves his PSL.

Tycho pukes on the cooling mat in his kennel, no big deal, take the cover off, throw it in the wash and then put a second cover on it. Then he pukes on that one too. Being a puppy parent sure is challenging 💀

Pretty sure stress and lack of sleep is making me lose my mind. Misplacing shit, getting distracted trying to accomplish basic tasks, ect. Ugh.

Definitely a two Monster day Maybe a three God I hope the dog lets me nap

It's really hard to resist the urge to snuggle Tycho even though he's sleeping. 😭

Thankful for my almost 5 month old puppy today. He better be thankful for me too, having just cleaned up his vomit. 😩

If we're talking turkeys, this one is my favourite.

Tycho passed his AKC STAR puppy test tonight, so he's a little graduate dog. Will be putting him through more structured classes and hopefully pursuing a Canine Good Citizen certification once he's around a year to a year and a half old depending on how he matures. So excited for his future.
