Halloween with a puppy isn't easy

Tycho is 42.6 pounds now and has almost all his adult incisors. He can be a handful when stubborn, but every day with him is a blessing. He has done wonders for my mental health and motivates me to get up everyday, no matter what. Really gives me a reason to push through on my bad days.

Older lady in the park lost her dog, came up to me to ask if I had seen it. Had seen her "walking" the dog earlier with no leash, her version of a leash was clapping her hands and shouting the dog's name. Obvious the dog wasn't properly recall trained. Despise bad dog owners, and I'm a first timer.

Really missing my pups tonight.

I didn't realize how much I needed a dog. Day by day he's fixing me, making me a better person and bringing me joy I never thought I'd experience again. He keeps me honest, on schedule, and refuses to let me slack off even a little bit. I wouldn't have it any other way. Love him so much.

Took Tycho down to the local park to play fetch and ended up meeting another dog owner with a puppy as well. They played for almost two hours and got along great. Exchanged numbers and plan on doing some more park play dates in the future. Really made me happy to find him a playmate. 🥰

Leaving this afternoon for a week-long work trip and I am already feeling absolutely crushed leaving Tycho. I know he'll be well taken care of by my boyfriend but I know he's gonna whine and wander around looking for me and that is a soul crushing feeling.
