I didn't place. But that's ok. The winners did great work and deserve to be celebrated. I entered on a whim and the fact that i was a finalist at all is mind blowing to me. 1 of 25 in thousands of entries is still a hell of a thing.

Maybe controversial digital art take? Every single filter that exists to turn your pics/art into "Sketch" or "Cartoon" or whatever, makes your work look like absolute dog shit. These filters just thicken your black lines and look TERRIBLE. I've NEVER seen these work the way people pretend they do.

Tested some different lighting on that 2nd image. I think I like the colors in this one better, but the original feels more humid and uncomfortable.

Sometimes, as a man with zero understanding of women's fashion, I'll see a woman in a skirt and instantly think "holy shit that would look amazing on my wife" ... and then have no idea how I'd even begin to look for it online or ask about it without sounding like a creep.

In my younger years, when I was much more into pencils than I am now. I tried to copy an old family photo. I gave up once I got to the plaid. It's not perfect, or even good, really, but I still like it. Now if I tried to do this, my hand would cramp up and I'd be in pain for a week.

It ended up being 21 pages. My wife asked "what happens if she dies in the first session?" "That's when I introduce her twin cousin Billie, with the exact same backstory." Most of the book is stuff for the GM to use. Potential NPCs, locations, organizations, etc. Even a bibliography.
