idk I’ve seen a bajillion kids movies where the kids parents die & let me tell you, having a convo with my kid about how anyone can die at any time & it doesn’t matter if they’re someone’s mom or dad is way harder than having a convo about how sometimes someone has two dads or whatever. And yet

I've been sick to various degrees for almost a month now (back to it being pretty bad rn), and now my husband and kid are sick as well and I am just so exhausted Funny to think I has plans for March, I'll be lucky to just get my shit together by the end of the month

Been playing Metaphor:ReFantazio lately and enjoying it so much I'm not even playing RE9 until I finish. Far as I'm concerned, it's an improvement over P5 in most aspects, the only big exception being the visuals. I'm glad we got this instead of P6, thank you Atlus.

Extended exposure to American and other English-speaking messaging environments gave me a habit of freely using exclamation points and I fear that makes me sound absolutely deranged to the Eastern Europeans

Playing CoM: Archolos is my comfy zone. There's just something about Gothic-likes that makes me relax. Never do I want to listen to a podcast while backtracking through the forests, I'm just vibing and sitting with my thoughts in a way I can't in any "comfy" game. Dunno why, maybe just nostalgia.

I've started working on this December but can't get around to set up my evening workplace (everything is complicated over here) ever since. But I'm always thinking of her... and of making at least one more picture in the same style with So Mi...

Practically forced myself to finish Infinite Wealth. I think this game will remain in my memory as a fun experience that also made me emotional about Kiryu again, but I won't forget the way it made me struggle against my worst habits, either.

Honestly, I remember Paranormasight as a pretty mediocre mystery where characters run in circles until a massive total exposition that didn't feel earned. It was pleasant but not at all captivating for me (except for the beautiful character art). Still, happy it got a sequel and will check it out.

We did a Steam roundup of some of the fan art we've received for Demonschool! It's been really nice seeing how much spontaneous art there's been, so we wanted to celebrate that a little bit.

Been spending my nights in LaD: Infinite Wealth and I love a lot of things in it, especially Kiryu's story. But it's jam-packed with checklists in a way LaD wasn't, and it takes me concentrated mental effort to keep myself from grinding everything out to the point it began ruining the fun.

In 100 years ICE will be one of the many boogiemen of the past, and somewhere in the world people will point at their current state-sanctioned bullies and say "you don't get it, this isn't like ICE at all, stop calling them ICE-wannabees, this is totally different!" and once again they will be wrong

SH: Revelations was, unironically, one of the most memorable movie-watching experiences in my life. It's exactly the right kind of silly-bad that I laughed for most of it and had a great time. It's unfortunate but very predictable that SH2 gets the actually rancid sort of bad adaptation instead.

Friends, can you recommend me some quality adult manga? Either seinen or josei works, I don't have strict preferences, but I'd prefer something finished ("indefinite hiatus" counts). I know the mainstream classics, so looking for something not featured in every list out there.

Every other month me and my husband remember the Warcraft movie and descend into a 2-hour long joint meltdown of frustration about it, and that's probably the most anyone is talking about it these days. The movie is bland, but the decisions that led to it's conception and failure drive me nuts

Нервно хихикаю от Американцев, жалующихся на то, как никто не понимает, какая большая у них страна, как дорого и сложно по ней перемещаться, как тяжело переехать куда-то ещё, и вообще ВЫ НЕ ПОНИМАЕТЕ

Read The Climber. My only gripe is, I wish the entire character of Yumi wasn't in it. They really didn't need to make her so monstrous. Otherwise it's fantastic, and I'm really happy with what Sakamoto decided on for the ending. Imo it was the right choice for this story, regardless of its origins

Screw mindfulness, this year we're practicing MINDLESSNESS, I'm sitting here drawing every evening with ZERO thoughts in this head. Is this sub-optimal compared to engaged, analytical practice? Yes. But is it better than entering The Doom Spiral every practice session? Massively.

Geez, I haven't done any personal art in so long I've forgotten how to even start. It's always easy when I have a hyperfixation going, but I haven't got one now so I'm at a loss.

Watched Wir Sind die Nacht yesterday. Grungy Berlin is always an appreciated setting, and the acting is good, but otherwise it would be entirely unremarkable if not for the (hopefully) unintentional, clumsy mysoginistic and homophobic undertones.

I did it, I finally finished The Realm of the Elderlings. What a journey! Took me almost a year to read all 16 books. Overall it was fantastic, but The Liveship Traders and The Tawny Man trilogies remained my favourite.

100% of scam messages I get lately (in EU) isn't even get rich quick schemes or fake lotteries but fake job offers for a slightly above average wage. "do you wanna work for 20 eur/h?" <- a message so outlandish in 2025 that you know it's a scam.

Finished Promise Mascot Agency. Very much enjoyed a modern spin on a sorta-collectathon, I had the urge to play a "clean up the map" game and this was much more enjoyable than a 80-hour long AAA behemoth. I feel like my upgrade progression was all out of order, but that didn't affect my enjoyment.

Finally had it with Win11, my new laptop now runs LinuxMint. Software availability doesn't let me do the same for my work PC – primarily AfterEffects – but once Win10 support ends I'll think of something, anything rather than moving to Win11. Screw it.

I fucking hate the stock market. If you want to invest in a business you should walk to their front entrance with a sack of cash with the appropriate currency symbol painted on it.

I didn't end up drawing much at all in my free weeks, but I did take a lot of walks, went to a museum, a concert and took the kid to the theater, did some cooking for fun, resumed my Slovak studies and also had to go to the doctor several times (and will go again because my tooth fell out 💀)

Cabernet is so good. Successfully distills all the non-combat components of an RPG into an experience that doesn't waste your time and yet gives you all the satisfaction of progression, roleplay (admittedly very basic one) and untangling the characters' stories. Love me a good vampire game

It is frustrating how short the day feels without the evening-to-night productivity hours. Doing stuff before sleep feels, like, twice as impactful as anything before that. I really miss that.

Finished 1000xRESIST. It's funny how an experience by someone from a different part of the world and different culture can resonate so fully with your own. When the live-action video of Hong Kong played in one of the communions I actually broke down.

Went to the Gothic Modern exhibition at Albertina yesterday. Wonderful, loved seeing 19-20th century works next to the medieval art it echoes, discovered several new names for myself. Still too much Munch tho.
