Our paper, co-authored by Dr Zilu Wang and myself, has just been published on Families, Relationships and Societies. It investigates the lived experiences of first born children under Chinaâs two-child policy in Chinese families where there are substantial age gaps between siblings (over 15 years).

Today I asked AI to summarise an academic paper. The actual results were the opposite to what was hypothesised (and to what others had shown). The AI summary assumed the study had found what everyone else had found. Hot tip: donât use a stochastic parrot to summarise an outlier paper.
