I read this years ago and laughed a bit at Sagan ripping into Mike Judge for glorifying American stupidity through Beavis and Butthead. I found it funny that a man as smart as Carl Sagan could so misunderstand satire. Judge later turned this exact paragraph into a film. I hope Carl saw “Idiocracy.”
