This story came from reading Blue Exorcist and Philippa Gregory, and thinking: what if demons in the past*? And rural! And it doesn't just become an Epic Battle Between Good and Evil (as most stories with demons do)! Then I developed it from there.

Nobody will make the exact story you want except for you. If you don't like what a story's doing, write one yourself. Make fanfiction, make a derivative work, make whatever you want, and publish it yourself so other people can then whine about it not being exactly what they want.

I don't think it's even that hot of a take but if you are even thinking about making a comic you should try making one. Doesn't even have to be good, a lot of professional comics aren't good. But it will be yours and nobody else can make your comic but you.

AI comics are nothing. You can't improve your work with AI comics. You can't look at a page and think, Yes! I did that! That's MINE!, or cringe in horror at older pages. You can't even wonder at how you drew better just two strips ago. You can't own (or disown) anything AI made. It's nothing.

i just did a workshop with kids about making comics. emphasized that ANYONE can make comics. you don't have to be a "good" artist. you find a story that matches your art style and you do it and it's awesome. and a kid who NEVER PARTICIPATES got out from under a desk and PARTICIPATED and had a blast.
