So back in the day, it’s safe to say the Nintendo 64 bested the Sega Saturn… But it’s now 2025. Which console has survived the test of time? Definitely a win for Saturn. The games have held up far better, and there are more I want to play.

A video game this good should not exist on an 8-bit system. And yet it does. It is an incredible port of Street Fighter II on PC Engine.

It’s always odd, and interesting to see a game for another rival manufacturers console. Sega’s flagship title Outrun on PC Engine HU card for example. Do you have any others / favourites?

My favourite retro 8bit tape compilation? “The Sega Collection” on the Sinclair Spectrum of course ! ✅ Spy Hunter ✅ Buck Rogers ✅ Tapper ✅ Zaxxon Spy Hunter could well be my favourite #ZXSpectrum game.

Name a video game you have 100+ hours in… Fortnite This may come as a shock as I’m a retro gamer, but I’ve put so many hours into Fortnite it’s silly. Thousands of hours. Many thousands. If we are talking retro games, probably Rainbow Islands or Ghouls N Ghosts.

Not just retro games, I’m also a huge fan and collector of #Lego , especially vintage technic and Lego space. 8880 Super Car … is my favourite set. But what is yours? (You can only choose one, so choose wisely)

Can you recognise Grand Prix circuits from retro video game track maps ? These are from Chequered Flag, on ZX Spectrum.

The ZX Spectrum colour values of the keys actually add up correctly. 1 = blue 2 = red 4 = green blue + red = 3 magenta blue + green = 5 cyan red + green = 6 yellow red+blue+green = 7 white It took me 40 years to notice this !

The move to blue skies should be an opportunity to reset - to find new and interesting retro gaming folks that didn’t get a look in at the other place.

I love the design of the Sinclair Spectrum, Amstrad, Commodore Amiga - even the Atari ST… But the Acorn Archimedes microcomputer design is my favourite. What’s yours ?
