Together with MEP Carla Tavares & Commission Representation in Lisbon we visited Orquestra Geração in Amadora 🇵🇹🇪🇺 The project promotes social inclusion through music and gives children and teens tools for life. It’s co-financed by the European Social Fund and above all, they’re just a great band 👏

I end my visit to Portugal 🇵🇹🇪🇺 with a meeting with Joaquim Miranda Sarmento, Minister of State and Finance. We discussed the revenue side of the next #EUBudget and key priorities ahead in the MFF negotiations.

I received a strong message from COPA-COGECA on the future of the Common Agricultural Policy in the #EUBudget. We're committed to clear funding, simplified rules, and proper consultation. This is not the first, and certainly not the last, meeting with farmers on the EU Budget.

There is a lot of untapped energy and creative ideas among Europeans. The #EUBudget should unleash this energy and creativity. With that in mind, today I received recommendations from 150 🇪🇺 citizens who took part in the ECP for the next long-term budget. Thank you!
