Getting to know my new laptop after using a 2019 Macbook Pro for the past 4 years. My new rig is a refurb 15-inch Macbook Air M4 in midnight black. Yes, I'm a creature of habit. Apple may be terrible, but it's less terrible than every Windows laptop I've ever used. And this Air is quite pretty.

My almost new (refurbished) black 15-inch Macbook Air M4 is almost pretty enough for me to consider forgiving Apple for the mess that led me to have to buy it. Almost.

I think there’s a universal fear of anything that’s *beyond*, that you and I can’t *beat*, whether it’s eldritch beings that exist beyond sanity, or a technological apocalypse because we go too far with AI, or new weapons that wipe us all out. That’s where fear is for me. #horrorwriterschat
