Truly proud of the fact that Alexandria has so many Democracy Dorks (TM) that special election votes are apparently still being counted this late into the night. GO US.

Just your semi-annual reminder that I’m an aspiring children’s book author and illustrator. With an agent, even! Next weekend I’ll be in New York for a book conference, so get ready for all THAT content.

Went to check out Hypergoat and saw an opportunity to take the most annoying photo possible for #alxcaffienary. Coffee and croissant was delicious, though!

“The children need to be separated so they continue to like each other” is the most parent thing I’ve ever said.

Here’s an intensely specific parenting request: NBC needs to be WAY more transparent about who’s “coming up” in the Macy’s parade. I told my four-year-old Kpop Demon Hunters was “coming up” an HOUR ago.

I heard someone’s Starbucks order called out as “Grande Chai Latte” and realized they were just telling “Big Tea Milk” in like, three different languages.

Very excited to say that I just wrote the first draft of a new picture book! I’m honestly proud of how terrible it currently is - full proof that I just buckled down and wrote through the self doubt. Besides, that’s what editing is for!
