This morning!

At today’s Repair Cafe we are offering a sharpening service for garden hand tools. Keeping tools clean and sharp helps enormously with their functionality and long life, so we’re really happy to be able to offer this service. Do yours need some care and attention?

Our next Repair Cafe session is this coming Saturday 25th April. Bring your broken items and let our wonderful volunteer fixers (hopefully) bring them back to life!

Some of this morning’s repairs. Many bikes, a 30 year old much-loved jacket, an assortment of electronics. As always, it is a pleasure to bring things back to life and use.

It was a wonderful and slightly surreal experience to be at this event!

If your guesses involved CD players, you’d have won! Several were fixed yesterday, alongside many items of clothing, a kettle and more.

We had a great first Repair Cafe of the year today. This clock was one of the many and varied items that were brought in for some care, alongside skiing trousers, a sander, a musical box, headphones and plenty more.

Our next Repair Cafe will take place this coming Saturday 31st January between 9.30am and 12 noon at St Thomas’ Church Hall, Lowther Street, YO31 7ND. Come with your broken items, come for the cake and drinks, come to learn new skills or offer your own, come just to see what a Repair Cafe is like!
