It’s absolutely unfair I have to go to work instead of playing XIV. Genuinely hurtful, even.

I love the Marathon style and lore and presentation so far. Gorgeous game, great art and vibes. Shooting is crunchy, abilities are fun. I HATE the menus and UI. Every menu feels like a mess to find your way in, some buttons don’t do the same thing in the loot container vs the main, etc.

Finally home for Marathon. Let’s hope this is the extraction shooter that clicks.

Funny enough it was Twilight Princess. I’d played Ocarina on an old N64 but it didn’t hit like Princess did, and it’s still my favorite.

Couple quick Next Fest reviews: Hozy: little 2.5D cleaner/decorator. You’re cleaning, then decorating the space. My kinda game. Will get on release. Starvester: clicker game set in space. You’re clicking to get more miners and satellites. Didn’t dig the progression much. Not sure on it.

Figured I’d post this, if anyone wants to group in FFXIV. I’m pretty new still, so may have to get walked through some mechanics but I’m enjoying the game a lot.

Character: Agitha! Love the vibe and collecting the glowy bugs. Dungeon: Snowpeak Ruins. It’s great getting in and not even realizing it was a dungeon. Item: Spinner! Even though it’s used sparingly I loved riding around on it. Location: Lake Hylia! The dusky glow, the piano music. So pretty!

Man, I loved that vampire dungeon demo. It felt great to stack combos on these monsters. So much to unlock too.

Genuinely loved this! Gorgeous IMAX concert footage, cut with interviews and behind the scenes. You see so much of Elvis now that you genuinely miss what an electric performer he really was. There’s a rendition of “Suspicious Minds” that had me out of my seat. 4/5.
