my mom was chatting w some lady who was buying business books to prep for the tea shop she wants to open in a few years. all of it irritated me but my favourite part was when she (as far as i can tell) mixed up "second home" and "third space" describing what she had in mind as a "third home"

i keep seeing clips of that new king of the hill tv show one of the worst things ive ever seen

sometimes people will complain that our books are overpriced and while im pretty sure we price things quite reasonably i can worry that maybe im wrong and other stores are way cheaper. anyway saw a photo of some books at another local store and their prices for the same books are double/triple ours

just overheard a great bar conversation a bunch of old guys talking about "people who listen to rap" hearing comfortably numb for the first time and bursting into tears

a few years ago my brother got the Relax single without knowing the song. next day he was like damn this song is amazing and played it for me. it sounded unfamiliar but figured it was a weird extended intro until minutes in i realized that he was playing the 45 at 33rpm. anyway it is insanely good
