First 2D art asset that I personally drew for the mod! Love how it turned out

This is the opening sequence of the mod when the New Story Mode is enabled. You're able to start exploring and dungeon crawling immediately.

First look at the new face in-game, plus a short rundown of what the process of replacing it on all the models was like. Really happy with how it turned out, it's quite the upgrade!

Finished looping all the new tracks from Red Vox - Retcon! Was also inspired to bundle a tool with the mod to allow anybody to easily build their own BGM loadout, since everyone will likely have different music preferences. I'm very happy with the default choices now with the new album in the mix.

Just to reiterate, I am SUPER grateful for everyone's interest and patience. Lately, I'm more invested in P5R and the Vinesauce community than ever before. I appreciate that most of the pressure has come from myself and nobody else, but I don't take for granted that ppl have bought the game for this

Short update on the dev cycle: I intended to finish the mod much sooner, but I kept taking breaks to work on other things, like videos. I still need to replace most of the enemies and polish up existing stuff. Been doing a handful of those every couple days. We’ll get there :)

Working as intended.

Managed to implement another mod's random-chance screenspace effects into my mod's "corruption" system! I can add multiple effects & give each one a different chance of appearing, and also have them require a minimum level of corruption. They won't all be jumpscares, but maybe more subtle effects.

Thanks for the feedback! I think what I'll do is make this the default look, and add a toggle for the old hairstyle for those who prefer it.

I found a hairstyle that's more accurate to real life Melpert. I like both of these, still a little partial to the exaggerated anime hair look. What do you think?

Since someone asked, I wanted to clarify how the battle BGM selection is implemented. Choking on the Spite is one of the ambushed themes, but it randomly picks one from each list depending on how the battle starts. Certain outfits will also have their own unique bgm combos!

I made a strawpage where you can send funny chat messages and I might use them in the mod! They can be inspired by your favorite real messages, or completely hypothetical. As long as they're in good taste and fit what I'm looking for, I'll use them! Thank you for your help. 💚 p5v.straw.page

Someone asked what happens if you switch to JP text. Really good question. Dunno what else I expected... Needless to say it isn't supported (but you can see the voicelines work fine with the JP dub at least!)

Here's how Joel's new model looks in action! As well as a peek at 5 different alternate costumes so far.

The game over screen now shows the Realign beach instead of the Velvet Room.

Previously, I was using Ryuji's face as a base for Joel... Which made it work better with Ryuji's facial animations, but consequently he looked too young. Now I'm using Shido's face and I think it looks a lot more accurate.
