Street Fighter: Retired Friends edition

I've been watching gameplay and box opening videos for @sorcerytcg.bsky.social and it's got me so excited for my first orders to get here. Picked up a Beta box, beta precons, and a box of Arthurian Legends. I'd like to order Gothic and more from my LGS @gamershaunt.bsky.social if they pick it up.

As a big fan of Wiz-War, and a brand new fan of @sorcerytcg.bsky.social, I have to ask: Was this boulder card inspired by Wiz-War? It smells like it! My buddy Carl and I always tried to knock down every wall in Wiz-War to create an infinite path for the boulder to roll, destroying anything it hit

One of the biggest letdowns in Magic worldbuilding was seeing Kaldheim come out, and there was no Ramaz. He was a lunatic shaman end boss in Duels of the Planeswalkers 2014. That game introduced the idea of Kaldheim, and there was a build-up to fighting him. Totally absent from the set. Hate that

"The current FOMO Secret Lair Drop exists so you get your product fast." Turns out, it'll take over a month to get here, and it'll take people overseas three months. When I ordered the Bob Ross lands/Superdrop in the past, it shipped within a couple of weeks. Not seeing the upside.

It's an imperfect metaphor, but this video - BLM's reactions in particular - are how I feel when thinking about the past 2 years of Magic releases, Secret Lairs, pizza bundles. Why? Why is a question that comes up constantly. We (WotC) have the perfect product, and yet ... Enjoy the madness.

I've never had an eldrazi deck that was on the weaker side of things. No titans. No gamechangers. No 5-color sloppiness with Ulalek or whatever. Instead, a flavorful theme and combo deck about a veterinarian, his assistants, and a quest to raise ants. It goes horribly awry.

Some eye bleach from whatever scandals have you wrapped up. Curling is a fairytale game, and the story of where these stones come from, how they're created, is just top-tier lore.

Been thinking about this card. Dunno if it's ever seen any competitive play, but I can imagine a while commander deck built around it, and that's exciting.

We'll see how this goes. I logged on and entered the pre-queue queue before I have to see another client at 12est and then another at 1est. With about five minutes between sessions, can a working person actually get a Secret Lair they really want?

What I got from the stream: - we will never reprint SLs - we claim this isn't a second reserve list - no print to demand - chaos drops will happen again despite the frustration - SLs that have 3 cards vs 5 cards: "no one knows why ..." - "we hear you, but we're not going to change."
