Working on a JS tool belt for building apps with an opinionated architecture. It encourages opinionated patterns and architecture that seem to hold up well. Idiomatic usage is a single JS server w/ sqlite db. Been wanting to try our Pear for a while and watched a new talk on it this week.

Are there any tools that make vendoring npm modules easy?

Had to whip up a script for stashing my YouTube tabs after discovering they consume a ton of resources/make the MacBook hot to the touch when sitting idle. I open YouTube links in new tabs all day and likely will never get around to watching them, but the script does keep my MacBook a lot cooler.

Sharing noms.club a little early. Every year a build an Oscar pool website for friends/family as an excuse to speed-run new tech/patterns. Still working on it, but foundations are there and you can start making picks before joining a pool.

So this looks like the same experience I've been sharing recently, but it's running against an actual local server instead of service worker. It's basically the same server with adapters do db (indexdb vs sqlite).

Finished my big networking cutover with minimal downtime. Beer please.

There's a lot of premature optimization out there, but a little advice… don't skip the NAT Gateway if you have people white listing your IP address.
