Thought has just struck me: Doriane Pin, Alex Quinn and Jean-Eric Vergne is a) the list of Peugeot development drivers and b) surely a plausible Duqueine LMP2 entry at Le Mans, given it's apparently not in the Pro-Am class there? If it was, it'd certainly be a contender for a class win.

I feel like ELMS needs to be a bit more prescriptive about LMP2 driver lineups, particularly in Pro/Am:

In other women in sportscars news apparently Victoria Farfus (Augusto Farfus's daughter) is racing in an Iron Dames-supported Ginetta Junior this year. She's actually pretty decent so could be worth keeping an eye on.

Given they're both now Peugeot development drivers, it's somewhat irksome that Pin and Quinn don't actually rhyme. Debating calling him "Alex Quann".

Not surprising, at least not to me who has been predicting Doriane will be in the AsLMS Peugeot Hypercar for months. Still good news though.

This is not exactly a huge surprise given they've been testing with it for a while, but the whole "Magma" thing going away before it was ever raced is still slightly odd. Maybe they realised it was basically McLaren-coloured.

I watched Suzuka. It was predictably kind of bad. I didn't watch Suzuka last year so I don't really have a point of comparison, but it does basically seem that tracks at which you can't overtake are still tracks at which you can't overtake.

It seems like every time I turn IndyCar on today somebody has crashed into a barrier. This one appears to have been a brake failure, though looking at the front of the car it doesn't seem to have had a break failure.

...that's the second year in a row there's been an incident at Barber that should never have happened and could have gone a lot worse.

I would feel more optimistic about the size of the Hypercar field in the Asian Le Mans Series if these articles about manufacturers having interested customers for it also ever included lines about how progress was being made in resolving rules questions rather than the same questions each time.
