This next post is quite an emotional ride to me. Seeing that Enigma is expected for Handmade Melee, I suppose I should tell his story. Enigma was my childhood creation and the first thing I ever drew. For a long time, I have wanted him in a project of mine, and he finally got his chance in HMM.

This next little dev blog is a bit special to me. For some time now, I can't help but think about how much I've grown as a creator and recently as a developer. If it wasn't for @wachinemachine.bsky.social and @athorment.bsky.social, I wouldn't be where I am now.

Who doesn't love pirates? Slamu was sort of a combination of ideas floating in my head for some time now, and the team actually helped push this character forward. What's even crazier, the character wasn't even a pirate originally! Sorta feel like a moron for that to this day.

I suppose I'll start with the magical puppet, Miss Merizing. She was originally pitched as a ClayFighter OC, which became her own character (which honestly was for the best). I was greatly inspired by Disney's and Tatsunoko's take on the character. I was also partly inspired by Sailor Moon.

I'm probably going to start discussing development here regarding Handmade Melee and go from there! I hope you guys find my posts interesting enough to read, and I'll be sharing my journey as a game developer while working alongside a vast group of incredible talent. Get ready :)
